  1. Thanks, wish they didn't make it quite so complicated. Was a bit too easy I guess. Rather going to go with the Tomtom HR though.
  2. The Vitality rewards points are taking forever to lead now. You get 600 points for a ride you used to get 3000 points for. Goal posts shifting all over the place. I'm so glad I didn't opt for the Apple watch gimmick.

Was at D circle at 6:00 but went through to the start at 6:10, couldn't see anyone with cable ties and doesn't really help I don't know anyone by face. Maybe I was a bit early, or late? Anyway well done to all!

Sorry to hear that, get better soon and thanks for initiating all of this!

Personally I hope this group splits into some smaller, more manageable groups by the time we hit the M1.

2014 94.7 was 3:25 Fastest one was 2:47 on the old, easier route.

It's Homestead I think, has this been resurfaced? Definitely needed it.

Guys lets worry about the weather on the morning. Weather forecasts are useless this far away from the day.

Couldn't agree more with number 4, VERY DANGEROUS section!
  12. If you use the 'more reply options' next to 'post' then you should be able to attach files, even in a tab.
  13. No you can't ride the 109 km route No you can't do two laps No they won't refund you your R400 No they won't come up with another long route before Sunday But be happy, Be happy that you are healthy enough and physically capable of riding a bicycle Be happy that you can afford to ride a bicycle Be happy you are able to plan and pay for a weekend to the coast Be happy that you weren't one of the people who lost their homes in the fire Be happy that you weren't one of the many animals that died in the fire Be happy that the biggest problem you have in life is missing out on the Argus cycle race, because apparently it is.
  14. please go and tell these guys about your bicycle ride being shortened.
  15. Will there be late entries for this ride?

Anyone still remember the bakwena challenge, out on the n4 toll road in PTA? Nice fast ride on a closed off highway a week or so before the 94.7. Good times!

Going through all these comments is quite depressing, I still remember the original dome 2 dome that started at northgate, 116km I think? Anyway seems there are less and less well organized and properly sponsored road races these days? Most of the bigger races have changed sponsors and routes, only think that hasn't changed is the race fees. Anyway well done to all, sounded like a tough ride.
  18. Not his fault. I heard some pharmacist swopped his real bike with this one.
  19. 1000 posts... Whatever. I've been on the hub for nearly 10 years and bought and sold my fair share. What matters is this is my name and my photo which counts way more than 100 000 posts from a nickname and a cartoon avi.
  20. The only party more disgusting than CS, and that's difficult to beat, are the attorneys representing them. I've seen people make their name ass on national tv before but CS really outdid themselves. You can supersize my burger combo at your next job.
  21. New Bicycling magazine also came with a sticker.
  22. Ride any bike - risk your life.
  23. Now that's a good idea, are they available locally or did you buy it online?
  24. Riding against the flow of traffic is a kamikaze tactic of note! The reaction time of yourself and the oncoming car is almost nothing, you are traveling at speed in opposite directions and if you make contact it's a head on collision, the most serious type of collision! Cornering and blind rises make it almost impossible to pull off safely. If you want to see approaching traffic when you're out exercising then rather take up running. Runners move a lot slower.
