  4. What do you do when you know that you aren't going to win the downhill
  5. About there, to 760? I'll get a wide one and see how it works out. I've got a 90mm overdrive stem, so I can't go too wide. If only I could get a 50mm OD stem
  6. Like it, thats tbe problem with doing a bike build. It's like drugs, you satisfy the urge and it goes away for a bit. But watch out when it returns???????? I constantly fiddle with my build, it's now doing duty as a 10sp machine, but I got the urge to rebuild it today, so it may be a SS again by the end of the week. I'm looking at some green bits from Superstar to put on it. I need a wider handle bar????
  7. I've the same problem with an old engine I'm working on. The sump bolts are steel and alu block. All but 2 of the bolts(hex) are loose. Tried every thing but the big blow torch. That's next.
  8. I'm into my 50's and still listening to Nirvana, Pearl Jam. My poor girls are going to have "Bleached" ears by the time they get home today. I'm doing lift club.

  12. My Yeti is insured for 40k, R186/month. I've decided not to insure my Ragley.
  13. I've got to go to slummies this Friday to sort out daughters mobile contract, so I'll go via Dischem and look for Mag products. My mom swears by Epsom salts for restless legs, just the tip of the handle of a teaspoon in a glass of water every night, and it's lots cheaper than tablets, as a source of Mg. I've given up on the single speed for the moment Dave, running 1x10 on my Ragley, the legs were just too weak for the SS, https://community.bikehub.co.za/topic/85763-post-your-mtb-ss/page__st__1536#entry2201651 WRT an SS dually, Ross Schnell had one built up for him by trek for the Rotorua SSWC in 2011 http://cdn.mos.bikeradar.com/images/news/2010/10/14/1287083405743-1u13g7h5myi27-280-80.jpg It's the cream that you need, adds fat and makes the scrambled eggs sooo tasty...
  14. That they want to stop the breeding of trout, I agree, they've not even proved that they are invasive. Usually I'd be the first to complain about invasive animals, but trout, they have such a small climatic zone where they can live, let alone breed, that it is crazy.
  15. From Flyloops and FOSAF PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD, WE NEED AS MANY OBJECTIONS AS POSSIBLE
  16. Did a good 50km ride with lots of single track and short steep hills on my 1x10 today, with bullet proof coffee for breakfast. Too many beers last night too. But I felt strongish most of the ride, though I cramped like a mofo afterwards, I had to stop 2x on the 45min drive back. The first time could only put brakes. No clutch. Looks like I've turned the corner though. I'll have to check next weekend.

  19. Help me Frail, I cannot load you on ABSA, what type of account, and at Century City Nedbank?
  20. Geez Frail, Queenstown-Umtata-Port Shepstone, some very dangerous roads there, in particular the Umtata-Qumbu-Kokstad section. The road from Queenstown-Eliot-Maclear-Matatiele-Kokstad, though a lot harder is a safer road, or rather ride through the Freestate.
  21. http://www.saunderso...te_U-Locks.html http://www.importita...B005YPK8R6.html edit. How much is your bike worth to you, I'd buy one if I lived in town.
  22. ..and the lock can also be used like this
  23. I read the Ad Brad, the comment that was made was not on.
