Don't get me Wrong, this is still a Benefit and I will probably still Join the Cycling side of it.. as currently I don't have a Cycling club and pay my own CSA license.. So a free shirt and a few bucks back (to try and break even the R600) is better than nothing My Point is the Programme was Launched as X and goes live as X-10. They should have rather under Pitched and over Launched and people would be throwing money at them.

No , as far as my Conversation with them anything already entered and paid for (even if on the list) ie, Argus, Two Oceans, Comrades etc you cant get cash back now, only new races you enter. Answer was , you will benefit from them next year...after I pay my R300/R600/R900 plus ?% again

A lot has Changed since the Launch, The List of Races has over Quartered taking out all Triathlons except Discovery CT (when 70.3 and Ironman were on the initial list), a lot of the small amount of races on the list are down to max 25% cash back apart from most of the Discovery Sponsored ones, they now refuse to pay back any of the races already pre entered for the year, all a bit of a joke, they have shot themselves in the foot in my opinion... Pre Launching a Fantastic product and then Diluting it 5x And then they want you to Resign from your Dedicated Running club to wear their "T-Shirt" at Road races... I think not

I hear you, This is their first year of this and their first half hearted attempt... I'm sure it will improve and some Tri gear will get added in the future.. I've also run for the same running club for over 15 years (RAC) and cant really see myself moving across for the small savings you get from running race entries, however I get what they are trying to do, and if you want the savings they want the exposure. Cycling on the other hand is money for nothing, lets hope they add a few stage races and use a Good Kit manufacturer for those Cycling Jerseys.

I am a Bit confused about your Stance that you wont wear the Discovery Kit if they pay half your Ironman entry fee as you race in a tri suit. In your profile picture you are clearly racing in the Specsavers IM kit to take advantage of the half price entry specsavers gave you. There is always a Choice as in Ironman, pay half and race in their kit, Pay the full entry fee and race in your Tri suit.. I know I did both my Ironman Races in the Specsavers kit, it wasn't overly comfortable but for a R2250 saving I was willing to deal with it for 10-12hours.

Piss Poor Form to do this just over 6 weeks out in my opinion, Sure there were Pros like Platt who probably would have been at Cape Pioneer earning some cash this week if they weren't focussing on bringing home the Big bucks at the Munga.

Yep I'm In, race packs usually come on the Wednesday but haven't received mine yet. Spoke to Fritz at Trailseeker Saturday, he rates this one will be easier again than Hakahana (as hakahana was easier than Heia)... then we are gonna *** off at Van Gaalens at #4. Saw their Recce Ride on Strava of the Bike course, looks reasonably flattish (about 250m ascent) Should be Fun...

While I would absolutely love not be a sceptic, we all know thehub swings on 2 sides of a coin. All the points above are valid but will never get answered. The Outcome is DI is cleared. Does it actually work?? Went through them both Saturday morning both ways, so I would Say, Yes, it works...and Ill also add I hadn't been in the spruit for over a year and whoever those Spruit fairies are, they are doing a superb job.

I am sure he is Glad he didn't now, its as good as a serial Number, unique number to a year that can only be tracked back to him.
