  1. Chris Willemse Cycles and Cycle Lab Tyger Manor. I've seen them at both stores. But I'm pretty sure you can get them at just about any bike shop.
  2. Knog Blinder (the name says it all) http://usd.knog.com.au/cycling/lights/hi-power.html Come in a whole range of colours. http://www.bicycles.net.au/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/knog_blinder_4v_rear_bike_light.jpg http://www.wigglestatic.com/product-media/5360071200/blinder4compGTR.jpg?w=800&h=800&a=7
  3. You do get Gatorskins in 700 x 28c which fit a 29er rim
  4. To anyone that says the Argon is better looking... http://www.roadbikeaction.com/contentimages/2009/Giant_1_roadbikeaction.jpg http://cytex.files.wordpress.com/2009/07/giant-tcr-advanced-sl-s-tec.jpg http://i576.photobucket.com/albums/ss202/booman_13/TCR%20Advanced%20SL/5.jpg
  5. Shame.. That looks horrible
  6. Just went all secret agent on their asses. Googled the address. No bike shop there. Unless you count the "Imposing Wholesaler"
  7. A quick Google search has led me to believe that for the most part, that little outer thing is mainly for extra stability when not wearing shoes and cleats, as MTB clipless pedals are generally quite small. Also, Shimano seem to make a PD A530 pedal, which looks (in my opinion) exactly like the M530, which they all a "Road Touring" pedal. I've been riding with pedals similar to the M520 for years, even on a roadbike back in my noob days, and I think they work really well. I personally don't see the advantages of the M530 over the M520 when wearing your cycling shoes.
  8. I can't believe I'm saying this, but get the Merida. Simply because of the wheel size. I've heard numerous accounts of people buying entry level 29ers and the bikes are heavy and turn out to be so sluggish and hard to get up to speed with shocking cornering. I personally don't really like Merida, but that's just my personal bias. If you can get a similarly specced Silverback with 27.5 wheels, I'd get that if I were you. Flam suit on
  9. Yes they are indeed very confusing.. I fortunately already know what my frame takes though. Good ol' fashioned external threaded BB
  10. I totally knew that. Was just testing you. But seriously, thanks for the info I never really bothered to find out what the difference was
  11. As far as I know, BB86 and BB30 is not the same thing. The pressfit BB Giant uses is made to fit cranksets that use extarnal/ screw in BBs. BB30 is also a pressfit BB, but either larger or smaller in diameter (not sure which) and the cranksets for BB30 are therefor different to the BB86 ones. But you do get adapters to make BB30 cranks fit BB86 BBs and vice versa. Hope it helps. EDIT: Had a look on Campy's site. I THINK this is the BB you need: http://www.campagnolo.com/jsp/en/groupsetdetail/item_calotteintUT_catid_12.jsp But just go to your LBS and make sure. Or hopefully someone with more knowledge about this will be able to help more.
  12. A Giant Propel But apparently they're not available in in SA.. But I'm sure you can import one
  13. Then this what you want. http://sphotos-g.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc7/408577_10151179008382455_1150735913_n.jpg
  14. New stem on my road bike. Deda Zero 100 http://img593.imageshack.us/img593/5813/r8aw.jpg
  15. Uhg.. I never really liked this brand. Now I will never own anything Spaz again. Anyone interested in two Spaz Ribcage bottle cages? Wait a minute... We all own a ribcage? Let's sue Spaz! And Cellar, may I also use your signature?
  16. Just get one of these. The only bike you'll ever need. http://farm9.static.flickr.com/8147/7596309406_365656f73b.jpg http://www.italiaanseracefietsen.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/fondriest-tf3-1-2.jpg
  17. One of my dreams bikes..
  18. Yeah we are very lucky. I am really thankful for living in Cape Town. I've been all around the country and even though this country of ours is spectacularly beautiful, there's no place like home for me.
  19. I realized I need to train a lot more
  20. I'll bring some along
  21. In the email I got Number Collection: Durbanville High School 25 October 2013 from 16h00 to 19h00 Durbanville High School 26 October 2013 from 05h30 to 07h45
  22. I see we're not using our ppa numbers? Or am I mistaken?
  23. Sometimes the CO2 bombs don't work so well with patched tubes. And I don't carry a pump. That's my reason anyway
  24. Fingers crossed! That would be so sweet to ride in
  25. I personally don't think 29er is a MUST. It's personal preference really. What kind of riding are you doing? Lots of offroad and singletrack? Or mostly on the road? Because you should rather get a roadbike I think. I know it sounds silly, but it makes a huge difference. You will also find in time that those use, soft, squishy gel seats are way less comfortable than the tiny hard looking ones.
