  1. I'm really glad we're at this stage of bike development, right now. The future advances should be very good, from where we are at the moment.
  2. Erm... He actually bought a Spaz, against my advice at the time....
  3. ^^this. They sell you a reasonable line, like "CASH WHEN YOU'RE IN HOSPITAL!" and some such garbage, which basically means that they'll pay you a certain amount per day, based on the type of injury / illness you're admitted for, and that amount will reduce each and every single day you're there. The amount advertised only ever gets paid out for the first couple of days and only covers a fraction of the costs associated with hospital admissions for even the most minor operation. In short. When there were older medical aids around (their functioning changed drastically for the better when Discovery came onto the market, back in the early 2000's) where there was only minimal hospital coverage, they served a very particular purpose as something that would pay for where you may not be covered. Now, they're pitching themselves as a "not alternative" to medical aid. Don't go near them unless that is the only option available to you and you absolutely cannot afford even the cheapest medical aid, where you at least have coverage for that hospital stay. You may not have full coverage for the surgeons, depending on whether it's a PMB or not, and the med aid you're on, but that's the small side of the bill and there is at least a baseline for what the med aid will pay a surgeon, so they're not covering nothing, there. The large side of the bill is generally on the Hospital side of things (blood, plasma, surgical implements, bed rate per hour, ICU bed per hour, theatre per minute charges all add up) and with a med aid, you're covered there in full as long as you adhere to their terms and conditions for the med aid you're on (certain hospitals for planned procedures, etc etc)
  4. you wash that dirty whoar mouth of yours!
  5. popcorn time, bro. If you're on a PC there's a rad little plugin that essentially streams through torrent, and you can cast to the devices on the same network as you. Select movie, select device to cast to, play. It's what I wish Kodi was, when Kodi was still the thing.
  6. That is an extremely sensible decision, considering the circumstances.
  7. erm... you need to do events to be allowed ot change your bike? Shame. Your wife really has you by the balls, doesn't she?
  8. Are you serious? I thought you meant you figured out who someone you knew was on here. DJR, I'm disappointed.
  9. Who said I was just chilling? Lugging an extra few kilos of chain and shopping around on an extended ride isn't always done at 90bpm... Especially when you're on DH tyres... Breathing with it was more difficult, yes. But not excessively so.
  10. There's a few steel I-beams supporting the roof structure, so I take out my chain and lock. It's a mahoosive chain (went to Builders, chose the thickest chain they had at the time (and which they don't stock anymore) and told them to cut it while I watched. They battled, properly. So that chain wrapped in 2 layers of old innertube, with one of these boys as a lock
  11. Yep. Just enough to fit in the backpack. It's been fine for me 'cos I don't really eat that much at the moment and I've been plundering my freezer's stocks. It's one of those yellow virgin active bags, so pretty small.
  12. I went out for the first time this morning, on my big rig, to get some supplies at the local checkers while also getting a bit of a pedal in. Wasn't busy at all, but I'm sure it would have been busier 5 days ago. Most people wearing masks, but very few of em wearing them properly. I had mine on and it's really not that bad at all. Yeah, you breathe slightly harder but it's not horrible.
  13. Yeah man, I was in Toti last year. Daaaaayum that place has gone down the tubes. Was a lekker cheap time up there though with those low Southern Durban prices.
