  1. This is how they get to the figure...Roughly. Also remember that not all of the cow is meat. In summary, a steer weighing 1,000 pounds on the hoof will average around 430 pounds of retail cuts (steaks, roasts, ground beef, stew beef, etc.). https://www.oda.state.ok.us/food/fs-cowweight.pdf pound of beef requires 1,799 gallons of water, which includes irrigation of the grains and grasses in feed, plus water for drinking and processing. https://www.latimes.com/food/dailydish/la-dd-gallons-of-water-to-make-a-burger-20140124-story.html The enormous consumption of water in meat production is primarily due to the watering of the plants which livestock animals feed on. Formerly cattle and sheep etc. basically ate grass, which cannot be made use of by man. Nowadays, however, they are mostly fattened with corn or soy beans produced on huge plantations. But also the water which these animals need to drink and the amounts of water that are needed for cleaning the fattening units must be included in the calculation. https://www.simply-live-consciously.com/english/food-environment/1-burger-3000-l-of-water/
  2. Not super accurate, but also not that far off, depending on the size of the patty.

  5. Spot on. Ratios are ratios. That's it. What may be happening is that he may be able to push a higher cadence on the oval, which means he spins out at a higher speed than when he's on a round ring of the same tooth count.
  6. Hulle is altwee skilpaaie, maar. ???? Not our fault Afrikaans doesn't distinguish
  7. Your seat tube angle changes, which means you're less "over" the pedals (your weight moves rearward and your horizontal saddle-to-bb measurement increases) with minimal change to the front end's position.
  8. some are better than others, but I quite like hte stuff at the Kenilworth and Kalk Bay branches. IF the KB one gets to you before it drops to 5 deg celsius, though...
  9. LOL ja, but that's his normal look, isn't it? Ek's bang. Ezel isn't a small day out.
  10. No remote lockout, but I flick the climb switch on my shock at the bottom of each climb. It's not a lockout, just a "pedal" mode (almost closes teh rebound and compression oil valves instead of just the compression valves) and flick it back to OPEN when I'm on my way down. Never on the fork.
  11. LOL. It actually has. There's a dragon to slay.
  12. Might be a bit of a chore getting it here, unless you're relocating to NZ / Aus....
  13. BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Yeah, I just care about my own times, and the % diff between me and my mates. That's all. The vibe is super awesome at those races. No ego, no bullcrap, just good times and you vs the clock.
