  1. ???? I know the feeling, man. That trance e looks great though. Far cleaner than the previous gen and it's a belter of a bike.
  2. Chris, I ask legitimately. Any reason you didn't go for the Reign-E? I ask as it's the big daddy and a helluvalot more capable and confidence inspiring, and with Essistance I'd go that way. Not that the Trance-E isn't bad, but yeah. Just curious.
  3. And it has to be flannel and loose, or plain white / black and toight. No exceptions.
  4. sportsmans warehouse, R 349 or something for a First Ascent hip bag that takes an 800ml water bottle and has a little zipper pouch. Look no further. It's what I and several of my riding buddies use when it's a bit of a longer day but don't want a backpack. You hardly notice it when you're riding.
  5. Hey man, I can help you with this if you want me to... ping me a DM and we can chat.
  6. Damn, I like that movie a lot. And yeah, agreed.
  7. The lead actor (whatever his name is) is bloody excellent. Perfect for the role.
  8. Depends entirely on the underlying fund they are invested in. Equities aren't doing well, but still positive growth.
  9. No worries, man. Yeah, you may have been. It's also affected by your previous retirement withdrawals (ie whether you previously resigned and took the retirement capital out in cash instead of reinvesting it into a preserver / RA) IE: The tax table above is additive, so any previous withdrawals will affect new withdrawals. Even on retirement. It's not applied on a per-policy level.
  10. Hey L4y3rcake, ONLY if you're over 55. If you resign and cash it in (which you can also do with a pension fund) you'll be taxed according to the WITHDRAWAL tax tables, in which only the first R 25,000 is tax free, and up to R 660k is taxed at 18% and so on. So yes, you can withdraw when you resign, but you won't have the same level of tax free capital that a retiree would have. Tax tables on a lump sum withdrawal : R 0 – R 25,000 - Lump sum tax free R 25,001 - R 660,000 - 18% of the amount above R 25,000 R 660,001 - R 990,000 - R 114,300 plus 27% of the amount above R 660,000 R 990,001 and above - R 203,400 plus 36% of the amount above R 990,000 Tax tables on a lump sum retirement : R 0 – R 500,000 - Lump sum tax free R 500,001 - R 700,000 - 18% of the amount above R 500,000 R 700,001 - R 1,050,000 - R 36,000 plus 27% of the amount above R 700,000 R 1,050,001 and above - R 130,500 plus 36% of the amount < R 1,050,000
  11. Filthy Westerner, thinking he can improve on OUR design! And then no mention of it whatsoever when it's implemented for the same reasons you did it in the first place.
  12. I rate my 2FO's more highly than my older Freeriders ito durability and comfort... And they're a better fit, since Adidas took over and messed up the fit.
  13. or just mail tomoutside as he's an engineer there.... and a hubber.
  14. Honestly, if I were buying a new bike now I'd be hard pressed to look further than the Slade. Great pricing, solid geo and local design for the win. Given that it's a darn sight cheaper than replacing my current steed would be, and it's a bit of a looker to boot, it's among my top contenders should I ever be in the market.
  15. yeah, something that can take a hit, rather than wince and collapse when there's a root in the way...
  16. Only thing black about the cobra is the dried bokdrolletjies
  17. I reckon if they'd redone the brakes and given the bike a new coil, the straight up low down torque of that XR would have been excellent for the trail. But drums need to be set up properly to be effective. And that kid wasn't small!
