Your biggest limitation there will be budget. Hardly anything good in those ranges, unfortunately. Personally, Eliminator Grid for the front, all day long. It's grippy, reasonably fast-rolling and long lasting. BUT it'll be around R 800 or so, which is outside your budget. Won't be at all "too miuch tyre" for a 60k ride.

On the list of things I need to get are: 1 - carb & air box & filter 2 - lighting (LED based lighting running off a large LiPo battery) 3 - new throttle assembly (has a push/pull throttle as standard, want a single action) Then it's just a case of putting her together.

I have 2 bikes. My roadie is an old Alpina, and my mtb is a 2015 giant reign. Neither are going to be replaced anytime soon.

I don't think it'd be the medications side effects you need to look out for, more the repercussions of prescribing it...

Can get away with less grip when it's super hard packed without a sandy / gravelly / muddy covering.

Lol. One thing that Nino has that none of us even come close to, is skill. And that really helps when grip is low.
