  1. I really don't think he should be pointing fingers too hard....
  2. Just use your existing chainring, unless it's at the end of its life. No need to change.
  3. you may not be a hater, you just don't like it. That's fine. But don't "rip it to pieces" if you just don't like it. THAT is a hater, and that's what I was alluding to. Fuckem. Who cares if some people wanna do an homage to the bikes of old with a few styling tweaks and a retro paint job? It's not as if it's the BMW mini that was a complete and utter abortion (despite being a GREAT car all by itself) when compared to the original.
  4. just do it, man. The 350 crowd is likely very traditional and staid in their views. I think the bikes look good, and the paint job & style does remind me of the tree fiddies of old. Which is the point. Haters be haters, man.
  5. Yours aren’t tubeless out the box. For a tyre to be properly tubeless the sidewalls need to be resistant to air seepage and hold the license from maxxis and mavic (I believe) no. Your tyres aren’t tubeless, but you can make them so with enough sealant
  6. Almost any tyre can be made tubeless with the right amount of sealant, but it doesn’t make it a tubeless tyre.
  7. It's firmly in the latter camp. Sensationalism at its peak, with hardly any scientific fact behind the claims it's purporting. But hey, it's getting more people to reduce meat consumption so it *must* be good, eh?
  8. Cancer Could have been a whole host of issues, though. Hydration, sleep, lack of overall nutrients, etc etc.
  9. Maybe for his shampoo and conditioner choice, yeah...
  10. If all goes to plan, yes. Get there early, start slow.
  11. Except that that heirarchy doesn't mean that GX is te equiv of Deore. It just means that SRAM GX is 4th on SRAM's heirarchy, and Deore holds that spot on Shimano's. Nothing more. This has been discussed ad infinitum, and the "levels" are not directly comparable.
  12. So... an ex hubber just posted this to his FB feed. And yes, he did meet ONE of the owners of the co...
  13. In warranty period? Not likely but possible.
  14. If it were the 1,6tdi or 2,0tdi then agreed. But the 1,6i is a gutless pretender, imo. Especially for someone like Andymann. Who, let's face it. Is a bit of a petrolhead. The lack of Chutzpah is real.
  15. Because of who it was aimed at. Not tears, but anger and disbelief as well as a very nice window into his MO.
  16. MERGEMOD, merge with this fred, please... https://community.bikehub.co.za/topic/183939-shimano-patents-bicycle-gearbox-for-mtb-and-road/
  17. Ah yes, that's a known fault. Loctite, new jockey wheel and enough torqqque on the bolt and you're good to go.
  18. How did it break? Did the jockey wheel come out? If so, then it's a well known fault that is easy to fix.
  19. Must admit I shed a tear when I saw that
  20. It's okay, just gutless. And worse when you load it up, as caddies are known to be able to do. My caddy maxi has a load rating of 810kg.
  21. I was laughing so damn hard. That number 5 and 21. ???????????????????????????? But hey, at least the "is the bike alright" thing has been around for that long, eh?
