  1. Except he's not. He's a noughtie. Millennial is '80 to '96 or '82 to '00 depending on the source, mostly the former though
  2. I think he's taking a break or has come back as Josh the Kid after he had a go at Dale for having "questionable morals" and we told him to get right off his horse with that sort of BS.
  3. Ja but honestly those were "free" points and it's kaak easy to get to diamond anyway. Screening checks, fitness points. Boom.
  4. Unfortunately it's standard retail practice across the board. Select the highest available sale price and set that as the MSRP and WHAM! Automatic discount. Makes online shopping just a bit more difficult to navigate, but once you know it's there and that's how it works, you should be able to mitigate against it. Takealot, Amazon, One Day Only etc etc all guilty of it.
  5. See if you can get a leatt to test the fit. That'll make the decision easier
  6. It's there, just waiting for licensing to be sorted before they can start selling beer. It's all nice and shiny inside, with the workings visible behind a glass enclosure.
  7. Cornering is easy, but difficult to get good at. Takes loads of time and practice, something I need a lot more of! EDIT: Oh, the 2 pallet jumps are not compulsory features, so you can go around em if you want to.
  8. Nope. DieselinDust used to be here as GoLefty! initially, got banned, returned as Raptor22, got banned again and is now back.
  9. It really is... What's also fascinating is that it doesn't seem to be favouring one specific diet, from what I've read, rather the adherence to a diet that's chock full of proper "whole" foods and a steep reduction in refined carbohydrates and sugars. It's still an incredibly young field, and the lack of proper controlled studies (not those bloody stupid observational epidemiological studies that don't control for other factors) doesn't help. But then, the ethics of a randomized controlled study on nutrition aren't exactly condusive to the research that needs to happen.
  10. yeah, you'll like it, I think. Do Revised and just before you go into Die Kloof (at the road gap) carry on along the jeep track, past cheeky corners and over Main Line to the top of a punchy climb. Black Rhino starts at the top, and you can do a full pull of it and carry on with Happy Hops which is a rad little trail by itself. Back up for Die Kloof and Tree Charge...
  11. I think this is the best sentence on the internet, tipped only by Curtis Robinson in The Coastal Crew....
  12. Not that I've seen... I saw it come through my cycling group, as a screenshot.
  13. yeah, muct have been a HEAVY stack to break his pedal like that. Clipped a stump
  14. It's a great approach to have. One that more people should have, but not many do. Too many people think that if they can ride a black trail here, they can ride a black trail there. It's giving them false security and opening up for potential problems when they encounter a trail that's been graded appropriately.
  15. Yes, but you've made my point for me. The difficulty ratings should be more or less the same across the board. Fact is, they're not. Jonkers blacks are proper blacks, Cobra and Rhino are not. It's been said by me and many other people, numerous times. Besides, how many people actually inspect the trail before they ride it? Present company excluded.
  16. that's not at all what's being said. What needs to be clear is the rating standards. If someone rode Rhino or Cobra tomorrow, they'd think "oh, I can ride a black trail, excellent" and then apply that same attitude to something like Plumber, Iron Monkey or Status Quo in Jonkershoek. And promptly die (not really, but you know what I mean) Tygerberg's rating system is whack. That's all. Conters main line is black, yes. As is Revised. Rhino is not. It's still damn fun, but a black trail it is not.
  17. Wayne, excellent post. +1 too Patch's statement, man.
  18. Yes, Rob & co have built another fantastic trail. But it's not a true black, not anywhere close. It's fun as hell, but it's a Tygerberg black.
  19. It's fun, and agree completely. Def not a black.
  20. ^^This. No trail is more than 60 min away from one of the central hubs, and there are VAST amounts of choices. Just Jonkershoek could take 3 days worth of riding by itself.
  21. Was fun for sure. Would have been better without the wind tho. ????
