  1. Jees dude, i so need to get there. I know i said 2014, but I've started saving for 2015. For 2 vakansies. So my OH will be at peace...
  2. LOL. YOu were about to be inundated with calls...
  3. I'm on 5 rides (I think) and I can already tell the difference. FAR better on the tech stuff. Slight difference on the ups, but that's a function of the skoene I have (chopped down trail running shoes with sticky ass rubber but zillions of flex)
  4. I'd say with a certain amount of certainty that Gummi has been riding clips for a looooong time now...
  5. ROFL. Miskien dink sy dit sal haar meer "soet" maak.
  6. I used to use it for PM, MBUK and fine woodworking. Forgot my login details and I DJ t have access to my old email addy so I need to make a new profile. Just waiting for my subs to run their course first.
  7. I've ridden it as well. Very very very very nice bike.
  8. Ja, unfortunately some people still think that skidding is, like, lekka koel and stuff! The "braking bumps" are made almost exclusively by people snatching a handful of back brake, to the deterioration of the trail. AKA - being a plonker.
  9. ROFL. Yes. Muzak fail. You see what I mean though? The morewood's downtube is far more fitting to the rear triangle's chunkiness... Just looks a bit better as a complete bike.
  10. I dunno, dude. I like the simplicity of it, but if they're going to chunk up the rear like that, then why make the front look so svelte? Reminds me of that song from (yes) Mika. Big Bottomed Girls. All industrial at the back, but mismatched at the front. I think in terms of Single Pivot bikes, Morewood has a much better looking bike than Orange.
  11. Ooooooeeey. And Mercedes has that private 1,000 km tyre test session. Sneaky sneaky, people.
  12. Hairy - if you're insisting on going hardtail, why not a Cotic BFE with a 120-150mm Revelation?
  13. I'm seriously considering sewing a bell on my lightie's clothes / dummy. My little one disappears SO fast. When I hear him stop jingling, he's up to something...
  14. Probably right. The guys have no idea what level you're at, and if you think you're an advanced level MTBer but can't bunnyhop a brick, then you'll have a bit of a problem on the Intermediate course. EDIT: And, unfortunately in this time of lawyers taking any case whatsoever, they have to protect themselves first.
  15. In which case, no shuttle... And agreed. Either regulated practices, or nothing at all.
  16. If that's the case, then I reckon they (ews) need to put an upper restriction on the bikes, something like a simple Single Crown Forks Only sorta thing. That way you can still run 180mm Totems, but you're gonna have to tote that thing up to the top. Unless you have s step-down feature, that's gonna suck. But agreed - no shuttle on race day, except MAYBE to the top of St1. Unless you put a Liaison stage at the front? That way it'll be an official no shuttle thing. One point though - if your start point is at the top of, say, the top of the mountains at Morzine, or Whistler, and the race meeting area is at the bottom where all the facilities are, surely the okes should be allowed to shuttle to the top, where the actual race will start?
  17. Precisely. And who wants to practice riding Jeep Track all day?
  18. Yep. At 260 kph they're traveling 4.3km per minute. That's 1.43km every 20 seconds or 64m per second.
