  1. Yeah, I'd love a Reign frame. Got all the other bits to make it work already...
  2. Yeah. Is kinda funny, but i like the fact that it's a 29er trail bike
  3. I like this boytjie... http://i1139.photobucket.com/albums/n546/mylesmayhew2409/e887f114.jpg
  4. With a nevegal you'll never look back 'cos you'll constantly be looking down due to the unpredictability of the thing, and its propensity to land you on your arse. As for crossmarks for the front - only good on hardpack. My favourite combo is the WTB Weirwolf / wolverine (front & back respectively) but the crossmark will do well for the back. Maybe look at an Ardent or a geax seaguro (sp?) or if you want to have a more aggressive tread, then the mountail king or x king.
  5. I have seen some walletbustingly good deals on dial'd though. Good on them for being the go-to sa store for stuff like this!
  6. Eish... I've got the bell Faction, and it's pretty much ideal for what i need. Yes, it can get a tad hot, but that's why o try to keep my hair short (nr 1)! And... It's half the price.
  7. To expand on that...m Different braking systems have different efficiency ratings due to the folwing variations FLuid reservoir design Bladder design Internal chamfers / profiles of same elements Cabling Piston design Pad design Materials used Tolerances And as with anything mechanical, the smallest variance in any of these would make a huge difference in how the item operates.
  8. S long as it weren't a steak n kidney, i'd dust it off and proceed to inhale. And dude... The generalization thing. I know that not all okes who ride kiff bikes are cocktonsils. But most (if not all) cocktonsils ride kiff bikes.
  9. Afaik, there are specials on crc & merlin cycles atm. Check them out...
  10. Get yourself a set of slx brakes. I'm an Avid fan, but the slx are hard to beat...
  11. Rofl... At the speed i ride, tomorrow is only a metre away...
  12. Dude, you have no idea how bad this is in the cape... Jus this morning, travelling through to tokai, a band of tourists threw out a ciggie butt. I stopped, picked it up and promptly went to their window and tossed it back in. Absolute fktards.
  13. Those negative reviews were what led to me pulling the trigger on a set of elixir 5's...
  14. Ja, fair enough, but i think it's the responsible choice. And no aggro, just highlighting the need for responsible citizenry, as well as to point out that this is the perfect example of a case study on the quote "all it takes for evil to Triumph is for good men to do nothing" The parallels are there, if only in the form of those contravening rules being substituted for evil
  15. Yeah. I'm still getting used to the 1x9 on my hardtail. Miss the granny on the long, drawn out hills, but it just makes me stronger at the end of the day. I don't miss the big ring at all, but that's just because i don't ride jeeptrack when there's perfectly good, technical st right there, that takes you to the same place.
  16. Wait for the 2013s, and get a sweet deal on a 2012 XTC. Or just get that xtc now!
  17. Just takes a bit of time to get used to, dude. Like any new addition to the bike! And congrats for that, by the way... Got a keeper there!
  18. It's also your responsibility as a concerned citizen to confront those that are contravening the rules, or at least report them like a responsible person.
