  1. +1 anything you do now will only add to the injury, and prevent you from getting better. Suck it up, bro, and take it easy. No racing for you.
  2. Stans (or other tubeless sealant) tubeless patch (like a normal patch, but thicker, that you put on the inside of the tire for beeeeeg gashes) the Stans will fix the majority of punctures, but bigger than 2 ~ 3mm and you'll have to use the patch.
  3. Yeah, but we can't ignore air resistance in a real world application, now can we?
  4. Nope. The 29er will have more air resistance cos of the bigger tires. So it will lose...
  5. If you're worried about that, bro, why don't you just get one of the shorter travel variants out there? I assume they still make them...
  6. But at least you'll have a parachute. ROFL
  7. Can't go wrong with that... Oh - and look out for the frenchies!
  8. I wanna be a fireman! Lemme know when you're going up...
  9. Thanks mate! Don't get me wrong - the riding was UBERtastic! But you'll see what we mean.
  10. Tumbles, the riding, as Cap says, is fantastic. There were several OMF! moments in there, and some really good footage. My main complaints are that it was A: Too damn short! They could have inserted the 10 3 minute shorts they published on the web to make it that much longer and more worthwhile B: It didn't flow nicely together. Follow Me & even Lifecycles had far more depth and enjoyment factor, and they were only about 10 to 15 minutes longer (okay, that is like 33% to 50% longer, so that is a big difference) C: Too damn short! As for the rawness - I definitely agree with you there... But it just didn't carry over to the screen as it did in the shorts. The shorts were all "small time riders riding big time stuff" and just having fun - what it's meant to be. The film, however, is just ride ride ride ride, oh, a train. Ride ride ride. Finish.
  11. Trails are looking good, PorS - just need a few more days of that, and then a sweep, and all will be fine. I tackled most of the stuff on the revitalized run, and it's uber smooth.
  12. How the hell do you drive a Porch? From your wicker chair whilst sipping on your home brew?
  13. Heh! My payment is directly related to the work that I do. if I don't see clients, I don't get commission. I have no bonuses, or incentives, or subsidies save what I earn myself. In fact, I pay to make use of the office, and I have to foot all my own bills. Bonus? What the hell is that? My wife gets to structure her own package, in that she can decide whether to take a 13th cheque or spread it over the year. Having said that, she gets 6 months full pay for maternity, and loves what she does. Bonuses are earnt by my hard work, and by putting away what I can during the year. In fact, I've instituted a plan whereby I have some investments going side by side, and the first will be maturing in a few years. After the 1st one matures, another will mature every year.
  14. Nope - just one (thankfully!) the pic is just of 2 different positions, and the lower snap has the due date written on it. I prefer the top pic, but wanted to include the due date and date taken etc.
  15. As far as I know there's now a little tick box to include your bike as part of your luggage. It will be an extra item, but they allow for it and it removes the guessing from your ticket buying...
  16. Only once or twice, on about page 3 or 4... Just dug himself.deeper and deeper. Looks like he really trashed his bike.
  17. Shot bro. Uber chuffed, we are. And the response we get when we say that the 5 stitches on her arm are from when.she.came off.her mtb 2 weeks ago? Ooooh! you shouldn't be doing that! Stop her from riding! Pffft! The gynae just looked at her and laughed, then proceeded to show me his brand new mtb.
  18. Not attacking him at all... He came on here, said he had a cracked frame that dragons wouldn't replace. No additional info, no photos, no response from dragons as to why they're not offering a warranty replacement, nada. Yes, if you buy a "top end" bike, you want the warranty etc to be bulletproof. But the warranty shouldn't cover negligence or abuse. Without any more info, we cannot say that dragons are at fault. Oh and the comments about DI2 and me creating trouble, montblanc? If you read the whole thread, you'll see that it has a bit of relevance and was entirely tongue in cheek. Don't jump to conclusions, one would say...
  19. Nokia is most probably more accurate due to the use of the phone's aGPS functionality...
