  1. What about a Giant TCX SLR 2? Upgrade with Sram Apex 1x11 and you have a great bike (carbon fork) with loads of tyre clearance - 700 x 45mm rear and 700 x 50mm front! Edit: Yes, more CX geometry, but can run massive tyres.
  2. If I may ask, how much and where?
  3. Fully agree. I miss my van - super easy and safe bike transport.

  6. No, too busy trying to hold his wheel! I assumed MTN had to buy the groupsets and are not a Shimano sponsored team?
  7. Looks like it. Jay Thomson was in our DC team. His R5 had Ultegra.
  8. I took the picture 10km outside Brandwag in the direction of Oudtshoorn, but yes, this area is the best!
  9. iPhone 5 - During this morning's ride. Buck grazing in the background. EDIT: Spelling
  10. Have you thought about Adidas glasses? My prescription 'Evil Eye Halfrim' ones, as used by Christoph Sauser, the Movistar cycling team, etc. came in @ R 5000.00. The lenses were made by SHAMIR in Israel.

  13. Totally agree. In my opinion, the OP wen't too far and should have accepted the their first reply, i.e. "coming soon", but the second reply was unprofessional. Edit: Spelling
  14. Still no reason to get personal. The said shop should have kept their reply professional.
  15. Please name the online bike shop. That reply is total BS.
  16. Odd, I once got a parcel from DHL. They sent me an invoice to pay VAT before delivery, but my address was incorrect (I think they had the street address incorrect). I can't recall going back to the sender to change my address? Maybe policy has changed...
  17. You can arrange with DHL before the parcel is delivered. They will call you anyway to pay VAT, etc.
  18. I assume this refers to a handling fee or the costs incurred in sending the item back to the supplier (from the retailer). You should be able to take it back to the place you bought it from, without any financial penalty - but this is not possible with online sales as you may live far away. Like I said, always a difficult one. Our policy - we always have the item returned at our cost, no matter where the client lives. This ensures a happy client that will more likely than not purchase again from us in the future.
  19. It is a bit of a sticky one. In my industry, it is the clients responsibility to return the item to the shop it was purchased from (at their expense). If you bought it locally, no problem. However, if the purchase was not local, then you have to pay the courier costs. The supplier usually covers the courier costs between the retailer and themselves. That said, it is a difficult one. Best to try and buy local.
  20. Based on looks - the blue Cannondale.
