  1. Must have been the equipment to blame for that
  2. Sagan is cycling... They should sign him up for Road Bike Party 3.
  3. Yes, just like that. You giving yours to me? Thanks
  4. .
  5. Personally, I can't wait to be able to get myself a dual suss 650b (with around 150mm travel) to do the things my hardtail 29er complains about me doing to it. Then I can go rigid on the 29er and play on the big stuff with the 650b. A man must have dreams!
  6. So do you funride XC, AM, DJ, enduro, or DH? Just to list a few options.
  7. You really should specific the discipline of riding when entering any debate like this or you will arguing cross purposes.
  8. Are you Nino Schurter? I noticed some French guy ruined your ride this weekend.
  9. North Island, then try Woodhill Bike Park: http://www.bikeparks.co.nz/
  10. How does a hardcore roadie end up behind 'chatting couples'? Imagine his reaction in the Open categories at the Argus. I don't think he'd take kindly to those shenanigans
  11. If only people saw the sense in this:
  12. How about a "Not Stan's" option? Might be worth considering alternatives, but I guess that might just require a bit too much thought
  13. All the new work held up exceptionally well after last night's down poor. Stoked
  14. On the switchback section?
  15. Learn to bunny hop Which section?
  16. Last time I rode slimed tubes they held out reasonably well against thorns and other piercing objects. The main downside is that if the tube doesn't seal itself, it can be tricky to patch because of the slime. So always carry a spare tube.
  17. Big enough bike shed you got there? Lovely paint job, with some great personal touches
  18. They make lots of more aggressive style, BMX, street and jump stuff. Dial'd Bikes stocks their stuff: http://dialdbikes.co.za/dartmoor.html Shiny http://dialdbikes.co.za/images/detailed/1/458C0300_2.jpg Ooooh, I see R1,402 for their 2014 single speed rear hub. That's a good deal: http://dialdbikes.co...d-rear-hub.html
  19. I was lent the same setup for a few months once. Man oh man indeed Went with the Spank Oozy for my own wheelset, pretty much a thicker Vomax. But I'll never forget the feel of those rims.
  20. Sorry, no idea. I'm just speculating on all this stuff. I've only ever seriously ridden Stan's, Spank and Hope parts with Sapim spokes.
  21. Indeed. R2,990 wheelset here: http://www.rapide.co...b-Wheelset.aspx http://www.rapide.co.za/images/products/Rapide%20R27%20and%20R29/Rapide-R27-Wheelset.jpg
  22. American Classic Terrain. R3,595 from EvoBikes: http://www.evobikes....c-wheelset.html Even cheaper, Alex Rims now make a wide rim that is almost half the price of the mentioned brands. You'd still have to arrange hubs, spokes and building. I know one person who rides them and says that they are semi-decent. For me, the wheelset is the most important component of a bike. You'd do well not to cut corners here
  23. Niner are now fully invested in manufacturing in Vietnam, apparently. Moving from Taiwan. Which is an interesting move.
  24. Contraband would appear to be manufactured in Taiwan: http://contrabandbikes.com/story.html
  25. I have my back seats permanently down. Either bikes or surfboards in the back. I have to remove both wheels to fit my XL 29er in. My girlfriend's 650b fits nicely on top. One day, when I'm big, I'll get a carrier for my roof racks.
