H Frikster, we can help you out with a new bike with a white frame. I sent you a message with the details.
So Mr Ciocc is gone. It was an incredibly comfy bike to ride. Possibly a tad small (by a mm or two) as my knees used to hit the head tube when in an all out sprint (cant believe I am admitting to that).
So it needs replacing. I have always like the curved lines on the Specialised bikes, especially the roubiax.
(https://www.gumtree.co.za/a-bicycles-cycling/noordhoek/specialized-s+works-roubaix-sl2/1002209524310910003394109) but i think it is a tad expensive and worried about the size.
So I went to sit on this bike in the shop.
https://www.bikehub.co.za/classifieds/289949-2016-specialized-tarmac-pro-disc-52/
It is a size 52, and it "felt" kinda ok in terms on seat height, but my worry is it is kinda aggressive in terms of leaning forward and feels way more "racy" than I would like. Is this a function of a difference between a tarmac and a roubaix? Or will all of them have that leaning forward as opposed to a more upright position.
Would any of the "curved" Specialised bikes have a more relaxed ride style? Should I just look at diverge and be done with both a gravel and road bike at the same time?
oh, and last but not least ..... campy ........
Hi Slowbee, How tall are you? What does your inseam measure? If you have that you can accurately determine what size would be best for you. It would also be great to go for bike fit after you have bought it.
As for the differences between the Diverge, Tarmac and Roubaix. The Tarmac is an all out race bike, with aggressive geometry. If you want a light fast bike this is the one. On the 2016 models you can't go much wider than 26c tires as you will run into clearance issues.
The Roubaix has a much higher stack hight so you'll sit more upright and with the future shock and wider tyres you will have a much more comfortable ride.
The Diverge is an awesome bike, just got one for myself. It is super comfortable and versatile. It has the shortest reach and most upright position. It is the heaviest and most comfortable bike between the three. You can fit up to 40c tyres and pretty much go anywhere with the bike.
Feel free to contact us if you need any more advice.
................but what is the weight of the bike???
I've got a medium World Cup with look Strack Pedals and the new Renegade 2.1 tires and it weighed in at 10.15kg without a swat kit.
We had a bad batch of sealent. We've raced these tires at Mankele 3 towers, Berg and Bush and Rooiberg without problems.
Had a flash Alloy 1 two years ago. Came standard with Sram X7/9 mix. Just changed the wheels to a set of Crest hoops with Tune hubs and Conti tyres and a xx cassette and it came in just under 10kg with all the standard alu bits and bobs. Wheels and tyres makes the biggest difference in weight and responsiveness of bike, but are also expensive.

when you have details on the new Camber, please share with us. I know a lot of us are very interested, and especially keen to know if we will get the Evo versions and the S works frame only option. Very very keen on a S works Camber this year.
They are doing the The Comp Carbon, Expert Carbon and anExpert Evo model. Sworks will also be availible in a frame set. I can add some specs and prices later.
Hi Bellscycling, you guy's enjoy the #Dealerevent, must be a great vibe out there .
Thanks, Yeah Nico had loads of fun testing all the new bikes
Lets just stop the speculation... Full specs in pictures of both World Cup S-works and Regular Sworks Epic. They are priced at R129 999 for normal S-Works and R112 999 for WC version.
Is the first pic on the thread the new 2015 world cup model and the rest of the pics posted the standard epic? Cause why has the first pic not got that extra carbon piece on the frame just above the rear shock?
First pic is of the new Ere Woman's bike. The world cup still has old shock on it and not the RS1
Cannondale Flash 29er Alloy. R24 000 and weighs 10.7kg's. if you do a few upgrades to you'll have an awesome bike for just under R30 000. I've got one and got it down to 9.9kg's by just changing the wheels

No you'll have to get a garmin or Ant+ compatable unit.
cool thanks for the advice but i have just upgraded my crank set to a Sram red, so for me to go to srm will mean a new crank set again.
You can also get the quarq that comes with a SRAM crank. It a bit less than a SRM but works just as well.
Haha thanks! Not my bike, but I would like to have one!
The sram uses GXP BB cups that has a different inner diameter than the shimanu BB cups.
I used to ride a 130mm fizik and changed to a 142 Specialezed. Major improvement! Gawenator2010-03-05 03:25:14
