I've been wondering about the Tygerberg trails as well. I always feel 100% safe there. I think their remoteness counts in their favour. Not easy to get to, or escape from. Maybe the sections close to a road like at Faircape could be a bit dicey?

what's happening at Meerendal? I find it a bit dull and crowded so haven't been there in years.

Having done the R2R myself, this is an unbelievable mental and physical achievement.
