Yo N Zealand hubbers. Mate of mine in Auckland wants to buy a Garmin 530 (or similar). He's new to mountain biking and wants to be able to load routes and use the device for navigation. I would like to point him in the right direction. Any advice on decent shops / online stores to use?

My Old Mutual life insurance used to have it as a free service. 6 trips a year. Then they changed the rules and made it complicated. Not sure how it works now.
