  1. Incorrect. I have been spraying penetrating oil onto the seat post/seat tube everyday for the last two weeks. Seatpost won't budge. Time for more drastic measures.
  2. I've been running the regular non-EXO version as tubeless for about five months now with no problems. I have just put new ones on now as the threads were starting to show through the sidewalls. When I changed the tyres I did notice a nick on the sidewall of the front tyre that was about to give way. I only weigh 70kg, but I do ride the rocky sections hard and fast. I am taking a chance, but so far so good.
  3. 150mm travel 650b. It looks like a bunch of fun! http://reviews.mtbr.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/Scott-Genius-700-11.jpg
  4. I think I've just found my next bike:http://www.silverbacklab.com/2011_website_SILVERBACK/2013/images/syncra1.jpg
  5. I wonder what one of those carbon belts cost to replace?
  6. NOOOOOO!!! My Eyes!! My Eyes!!! I still think Blue Waffles are worse though!
  7. I was wondering about that too, but in the confirmation e-mail they state: How to Redeem: Buy your Groupon Enter the correct address during checkout Provide daytime delivery address; PO Box address is not sufficient No need for further action or redemption after checkout Allow up to four weeks for delivery So, I guess we just wait.
  8. If you want to be on the safe side you could go for ZTR Arch wheelset at 1690g and good for up to 105kg. http://www.notubes.com/ZTR-Arch-EX-29er-Stock-Wheelset-P918C130.aspx Or if you don't ride too aggressively you might be able to go for the ZTR Crest at 1575g and for riders up to 86kg. http://www.notubes.com/ZTR-Crest-29er-Stock-Wheelset-P452C130.aspx

So does anyone have some suggested routes?
  13. Moonlight Mass happening tonight in Durban?
  14. I have been using a the Specialized Rib Cage in this photo for years with no problems.
  15. I am keen, but I still don't understand how it knows if you are getting fitter (therefore producing more Watts at a given HR). Does it measure how quickly your HR increases/decreases during exercise compared to previous recorded HR changes during exercise, and use that to gauge increased/decreased fitness?
  16. I've had my 29er for about 5 months now, and don't see myself ever going back to a 26er. However, I have a light-weight wheelset and light tubeless tyres. I don't think people realize what a negative factor heavy wheels and tyres are on a 29er compared to a 26er. If you aren't spending the kind of money needed to get strong, light-weight wheels, then 26 inch is they way to go. This is all besides the fact that 26 inch bikes are much better value for money at the moment, so I definitely say go for 26 inch.
  17. But they will sell likes hot cakes.
  18. Never used Kask or seen one up close, but I have had a Giro Atmos for while now and I'm very happy with it.
  19. I have an awesome MET Veleno helmet you can buy for R500. Still in the box, never been used. Size medium.
  20. I found Crank Brothers Eggbeater/Candy pedals are easier to unclip than Shimano style ones, even with the Shimano ones on the weakest setting. Unfortunately everybody falls over once or twice in the beginning.
  21. But there are plenty smooth single guys who cycle!

    Epic or Joberg2c

I did J2C in 2010. I Just got goose bumps reading your post. I've already entered for next year. I've never done Epic, but it is something I have to do one day (when I earn the big bucks).
  23. Is yours like this: http://images.nitrosell.com/product_images/2/475/ACC_ACWB0076.jpg Or like this: http://www.jejamescycles.co.uk/product-images-large/specialized-rib-bottle-cage-pro-42228.jpg Mine was like the second one. Maybe an older version.
  24. It looks like Pmb,Hillcrest and Durban North are all 4ever Cycles now. Maverick Cycles sent me an sms saying that they were moving to Builders Way (down the road from their current shop). Cyclelab (4ever Cycles) sent an sms saying they were moving to behind Oscars (current Maverick shop?)
  25. Olympic Cycles have the Profile Design one for R55. http://www.olympiccycles.co.za/Product/Profile-Design/Profile-Design-Water-Bottle-Cage.aspx
