  1. Where did you get the Blackspire Super Pro 38/26 chainrings from?
  2. It was Gary Fisher Collection Treks
  3. Just go to the entrance gate at Fountains and ask for an annual ticket. They issue it there and then and you just show it every time you want to enter either Groenkloof or Fountains. I have one it works out really cheap as I try and ride twice a week.
  4. I want to purchase a XX crank for my On-One Scandel 29er but I am not sure what the correct Q-Factor would be. I can get a Q-156 at a decent price but isn't sure if it will fit correctly. Any advice/suggestions?
  5. I have purchased from them. Very satisfied and their pricing is good
  6. Will the cassette work with XX? Should be 'n whole lot cheaper than XX cassette
  7. Get yourself a trainer tire for your MTB. TACX has a MTB specific tire. They are a lot quieter than normal road or mtb tires.
  8. I know the Bontrager tires are tubeless ready and a bit cheaper that Tubeless versions. On my 29er I run Continental Mountain King and Race King that are also Tubeless ready as tubeless without any hassles. Just getting them to seat the first time is a mission.
  9. Okay, then I don't know
  10. 2011 X.0 is a 10speed groupset like XX. Just affordable for the non-professionals http://www.cyclingnews.com/features/first-ride-sram-x0-family Plus its a complete groupset with an X.O crank and brakeset. philip.maree2010-06-15 02:37:06
  11. Can you get more 2011 X.O components?
  12. stupid question, but how do you modify/limit the front derailleur or shifter to shift only between the 2 rings and not drop the chain on the inside?
  13. Was wondering if you have clearance issue with the Race King 2.2 at the back? I ran Mountain Kings 2.2 front and back but when I replaced the rear with a Race King 2.2 the clearance suddenly was very little. If you look at the 2 tires the Mountain King looks like a 1.9 and the Race King like a 2.4
  14. Just a note. I have ordered from CRC plenty of times and have come to notice that if a parcel is either extremely large or the value exceeds R5k it is better to use UPS than Parcel Force to get it here. I have had 2 parcels detained by customs and I had to get a clearing agent to release it. I wanted to drive and clear it myself but was promptly informed that I am not an agent and will be wasting my time. With UPS there just is not hassles. They notify U when the parcel is out for delivery, EFT the vat and handling and provide proof of payment to the courier guy. philip.maree2010-05-27 02:30:46
  15. I had the same issue with the Gobi, just to narrow for my seatbones. After a couple of months I couldn't take it anymore and replaced it with a Fizik Aliante XM and I my rear could not be happier.
  16. Watched last evening for the first time since stage 1. Sorenson was in an aero position sitting on his top tube descending and the the guy said that he is just taking some weight of his legs to give them a rest. I just laughed. Then I watched the TOC and what a pleasure do have decent commentary!
  17. Tubeless you can run a lower pressure than tubed. Less the pressure the more the traction. At 4bar you will be flying as the rolling resistance should be less. But that being said, traction should be a bit of an issue.
  18. It depends on the surface and preference. I run my tires at 2.0 bar when it's dry and 1.8 bar when it's wet and I need more traction.
  19. If you can get Option 10 or 11 with white or light grey or silver graphics, that would be the business.
  20. I have a set and have been riding them for a couple of months now. Awesome brakes and extremely good value for money. I had Shimano M575's on that came standard with my Merida 1000D and these are 10 times better.
  21. Don't know if this has been posted yet http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/specialized-recalls-2010-epic-and-era-models philip.maree2010-05-07 01:28:10
  22. Ordered a Tacx Flow T1680 from CRC yesterday. Going to set up my 26er MTB on it fairly permanently and use my 29er when I go out to ride Quite excited and cannot wait to start training on it philip.maree2010-05-06 03:40:52
