  1. Press-fit bb not my preference. S/C Chameleon my first choice
  2. 07:20 tomorrow (Monday) at the security booth just before you get to the boom. Road next to Hillcrest Toyota
  3. Before you sell the 150mm, alternatively add two spacers (more than factory install) and decrease the pressure with15/20%. Your shock will ride lower in normal riding position, have excellent small bump sensitivity and non-linear ramp-up will prevent bottom-out. Only tight uphill turns, when your weight is more to the rear will remain awkward. Small compromise to have for flying down-hill imo
  4. When you float like a butterfly it is. Note: personally I am the bumble bee variety
  5. Yes, 99% correct, only change the he to: he/she. The female variety is less common but not less serious. Once I had to listen to the difference between speaker cables raised above the floor vs. lying on the floor. It goes without saying I was blown away by the difference in soundstage, transparency, ability to place individual instruments/singers, etc.
  6. Giya G3 series2
  7. At risk of not directly answering your question, but certainly improving the effectiveness of the sealant - use the kitchen grater to grate some polysterene in the tyre or alternatively use a peper grinder and grind some pepper corns into the sealant.
  8. During these times of over zealous application of the law everyone with something to loose - read: formal sector, criminal-record-free individual, etc, will do well to fly under the radar. In the absence of true mass protest/non-compliance the government will divide and rule. I also mention mass protest/non-compliance very tentatively, this is likely to be a rabbit hole with a no-return sign written all over it. Yet in the back of my mind I am acutely aware of the slowly boiling frog anology.
  9. I agree with the general sentiment, however having a SAPS member interpretating anything will only result in disaster.
  10. My numbers are 66.5 H/a and 73 S/a (numbers are unloaded). 120mm fork, with 1 spacer added to the factory installed 2, i.e. 3. The additional spacer let me ride higher in the travel on rough sections when you need a slacker geometry, as such I would even consider adding a 4th whilst decreasing the air with circa 5-7psi. A lesser than 66 H/a could potentially compromise reach length. I suppose it depends on the designer's skill to enable bringing the seat over the BB.
  11. In my experience servicing the clutch involves removing three small screws, thus removing the dust cap, no need to even remove the chain let alone the wheel or derailleur. Not too much of a hassle imo. Not slamming your comment, just providing my take on take. Lack of lubrication and dust impregnation seems to be the single biggest issue resulting in poor performance. A minute dust seal (o-ring) keeps the dust out. Its very small and easy to deform or lost. Note: XT and XTR also allows external adjustment of the torque applied with the clutch engaged.
  12. I recall Fox Front shox having not only "slow" , "fast" in writing but these were also complimented with a tortoise and hare graphic. I guess we did evolve, only slightly so.
  13. Hope Pro4 I've owned: Mavic Shimano XTR Shimano Dura Ace (current) DT Swiss Hope Pro4 Industry Nine (current)
  14. Can't agree with you more. Nothing wrong with cone/cup bearings, very expensive to manufacture due to tooling cost. The big S managed due to the volume they get from their massive fishing reel combined with cycling industries involvement. Chasing the next marketing trend easily translates to shortcuts getting products to the market.
  15. KZN Private estate called Phezulu, recently the trails were open to the public. They made it more rider friendly, took some of the fun away... Still awesome to have it in your backyard. Also do Giba often
  16. I've had success buying old stock, usually from shops converting to specialist dealerships resulting certain brands losing display space and the customer base changing to less radical riding and more weight obsession.
  17. Running a DHR II 2.6 upfront and a DFR 2.5 at the rear on 29" rims with 27.2 internal width. DHR has slights less dead space than DHF in my experience. Lots of my riding is done on very slippery hardpack with small loose gravel. I've managed to slide the front wheel on one occasion where I felt the tyre failed me, on two other occasions it was at slow speed and tyre placing was plain wrong (root and rut respectively). Each time the trails was particularly dried-out. On a wetter trail I've taken the first corner above fast and low with success. On inspection of the tracks afterwards you could see the slide and grip clearly. I have both an Agressor 2.5 and DHR Ii 2.3 waiting in the wings. Both for the rear. Looking for an Assegai 2.5 at a decent price point.
  18. Great choice. Happy miles.
  19. I believe there is one for sale on the hub, at least when I last checked.
  20. Nice, more punch than the K1's and better highs also.
  21. Some bling from Jeff Rowland. Paired with 725 s2 monoblocks

  23. I had the pleasure of having a A8 W12 as a company car for a year. At least 6000 km on autobahn. Neighbours didn't enjoy me leaving for work early.
  24. Hoogs begaafd, onhandig hoog Nederlandse uitdrukking om "ander" se slim kinders te beskryf waar historiese en akademiese jare uit gelit is.
