  7. Don't know if this was posted somewhere else already, but I found this on BBC sport http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/other_sports/cycling/7632837.stm I think Contador is heading to a new team...
  8. It would be terrible if these nice girls could not ride because of a silly sponser related issue. I assume garmin wouldn't play ball and that is probably the real reason.
  9. Looks like STM is a real gentleman. Looks like his girlfriend is wearing his jacket in the photo where they quit. Really nice photo's and thanks for posting them.
  10. Not that I would be able to afford it, purely out of curiosity, what would that set you back?
  11. In the second scroll of Wen the Eternally Surprised a story is written concerning one day when the apprentice Clodpool, in a rebellious mood, approached Wen and spake thusly: "Master, what is the difference between a humanistic, monastic system of belief in which wisdom is sought by means of an apparently nonsensical system of questions and answers, and a lot of mystic gibberish made up on the spur of the moment?" Wen considered this for some time, and at last said: "A fish!" And Clodpool went away, satisfied. -- (Terry Pratchett, Thief of Time)
  12. It is probably closed by now - they only allow 30 000 or so. They keep 5000 entries for international and other special people.
  13. I agree with Foe Fighter. I was no good at spot the difference games but the difference I can spot. I won't say they arn't similar, they simply arn't identical.
  14. I'm with Azonic on this one.
  15. Man, that is a goog looking machine. I like the detail with the red cables, bottle cages and spacers. It is probably worth the trouble you will get into.
  16. You could get a good deal on a Tribal frame from Tokenfreak if you want to go that route - check out his thread here https://www.bikehub.co.za/forum_posts.asp?TID=31708

  18. That is very pretty. Let us know what she rides like.
  19. Reading this thread gives me confidence in my Garmin - not that I have had any problems with it. I have had my Edge 305 for 15 months now. I only ride Mtb offroad and the unit, HR monitor and cadence sensor is still perfect.
  20. Go read the race reports on www.bicycling.co.za. A lot of people are very complimentary about well run races.
  21. Continental tyres doing best in a test run by them at their lab? He who pays the piper picks the tune.
  22. ob?sessed http://cache.lexico.com/dictionary/graphics/luna/thinsp.png ?adjective 1.having an obsession (usually fol. by with or by): He is obsessed with cycling. 2.having or displaying signs of an obsession: The cyclist entered the local bike shop wearing an obsessed smile. 23. Depending on how heavy you are - replacing the Fox with a SID should save you 400g According to weight weenies - 1680g for the Fox and 1296g for the SID world cup. Rims, hubs and lighter tires would save you a lot. Crossmax SL for example should save you 200g. Depends how much you want to spend. The other consideration with weight is always durability and the weight of the rider.
  24. This is what my Garmin profile looked like last year. Serendipity2008-08-27 11:59:47
