As long as there is prize money and incentives there will be people who will be prepared to look for an illegal advantage. In my mind that is the same as fraud and theft. I sincerely believe that there are no more people doping now than there was 5 years ago. The testing has just improved and the administrators have closed the gap. The money makes it worth the gamble.

Did Baviaans this year as well. Not really comparable. Baviaans has less ascent in 100 more km. It is an entirely different challenge, with team dinamix built in. Atakwas was for me the ultimate test.

Attakwas is a monster - 2700 odd metres of climbing in 130 km. Going from Candelier Game Farm near Oudtshoorn to Great Brak River. It is the toughest I have done. Evans won last year in just under 6 hours.

It is a decent bike - good value for money. The new 2009 range looks really nice. I havn't heard anyone complain about them.

Bling is the new thing - and Christmas is around the corner. People will start looking for little somethings to put under the tree come Christmas. If Token has something like bar ends or skewers or seatpost clamps to bling your ride it will sell now I think.

If you have a rim strip I am with BigBen on this. Get a ghetto conversion with a 20 inch tube. I have a set of those on my one Mtb with Mavic 317's and it hasn't failed in more than a year.

Friend of mine (yes I have friends) did the Camino in Spain during June and it looks from the photo's and sounds from the stories like it was an incredible experience.

By unstuck I presume you mean that the bond between the tyre and the rim has opened up. This happens when the tyre loses too much air and is flattened. The sealant you are using is probably useless now and you need to refill with sealant, and reinflate the tyre. Usually it needs a blast of compressed air to reinflate. You should also check the rim for damage. The valve leaking could be anything. It could be the valve itself or the seal where the valve is inserted into the rim. If it is the valve (presta) in my experience it can't be fixed and you need to buy a new one. If it is not the valve itself, using a bit of silicone around the where the valve goes through the rim asually sorts a leak out.

Saying a certain stretch os singletrack is the best imo is a very subjective thing. It is like saying the colour blue is the most beautiful colour. Half the fun is discovering new track and building your own.

I read this article somewhere (think it was in an article in an ultra running mag) about the limit of human endurance and performance compared to the VOmax of particulat athletes. They compared world record performances of Gebre Selassie in the 10 000m and found that his maximum would be somewhere in the region 2:03.35 or there about. I don't think he will break 2:00.00 for he Marathon but someone else will. Bekele has already broken his records on the track for the 10 000m.

Also try to do it discreetly because stage fright can lead to embaressment.
