  1. Not sure at the moment, make me an offer. Also came across this http://www.ebay.com/itm/Duro-Razorback-Down-Hill-or-XC-Mountain-Tire-26x3-00-1-tire-SALE-we-are-nuts-/271399575580?pt=Cycling_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3f30ace01c#shpCntId Shipping is a bit steep though
  2. http://singletrackworld.com/forum/topic/surly-26
  3. Can you send me a link? Actually want the Surly Dirt Wizard 26+ (26 x 2.75) http://surlybikes.com/parts/wheels/dirt_wizard_26
  4. Try Grant Usher at Hunter Cycles or grant@singlespeed.co.za He's the agent for Surly. Saw somebody (Thug?) had bought one. Not 3.0" but I have a WTB Dissent 2.5 in the garage if you're interested.
  5. Gotta try this when I run. Maybe it's because I don't do enough training beforehand but end up with massive blisters on the sole of my feet
  6. Really? Hasn't for me. Just to confirm, yours was on a road or MTB setup? I have gotten a SRAM X 9 speed shifter and a Shimano SLX 10 speed derailleur to work together perfectly.
  7. Yes, of course there's that option
  8. I'm afraid that won't work. I have made adapters before, but it will be better to get a new hub
  9. I tell you what, I have a 9 speed derailleur and a 10 speed shifter lying around (both Shimano MTB). I can set up a test rig of sorts and do the testing for you. Documented as well if you like
  10. Crank will work, derailleur not
  11. Same model number? Big nine 10 speed and multi van 9 speed?
  12. FFS, the geometry of the parrallelogram affects how much it moves sideways based on the amount of cable being pulled. Shimano changed this geometry when going to 10 speed MTB, which they have never done before.
  13. I have a fixie/track bike for you if you need
  14. Lol PM me what you need, and I'll let you know what I have. MTB or Road?
  15. It's not a bad idea. The problem is getting the energy to go through the garage and sort it all out
  16. Hate to say it, but it won't work with the 9 speed derailleur unless you have a 10 speed flat bar ROAD shifter. Post the result and PLEASE prove me wrong. I have a bunch of stuff to recycle
  17. If you don't come right with Mayhem, I have something for you
  18. Yes, Just need to find it in the spares box
  19. Yes, the Shimano 7,8,9,10 speed road and the 7,8,9 speed MTB shifters and derailleurs are all cross compatible.
  20. Agreed, ordered some Exodus gloves yesterday morning. Assumed they used normal post so used my PO Box. Got an email shortly afterwards saying the courier needs a physical address. Sent them work address. Were on my desk before I arrived at work this morning!!!!! Can't believe that overnight courier was included in the price. Will definitely use them again!!!
  21. SRAMs 9 speed stuff has a 1:1 ratio and so does their 10 speed (exact actuation). Confusing isn't it? Here's the breakdown Firstly 9 speed (1:1) If you check the amount of cable pulled per click of the shifter you will see that they are not the same throughtout the 8 shifts. The 1:1 is the average pull ratio across all the gear shifts, this is determined by the geometry and path of the parallelogram of the derailleur, to enable the derailleur to move laterally by the same amount for each shift. No 10 Speed (Exact Actuation) The amount of cable pulled by the shifter is the same for each shift.
  22. Can't comment on DA9000 stuff
  23. Yes, it works with ROAD components and you CAN use 10 speed ROAD shifters with 9 speed MTB derailleurs with no issue. It's the MTB stuff were things are different
  24. +1
  25. Leave front as is, 10 speed cassette, shifter and derailleur. Or get the 12-36 9speed cassette and leave everything else.
