  1. Looks quite good, but who does Diamondback in SA these days? In the states they have a good range of bikes
  2. AFAIK it's a dedicated single speed with horizontal dropouts, so shouldn't need a tensioner.
  3. Speak to Hairy, he recently got one locally. WRT tax, you'll pay 14% - 15.4% VAT (maybe a handling fee)
  4. LOL. i am liking this!!!!

    Trikes anyone? http://riderungu.com/juggernaut/ http://riderungu.com/riderungu/wp-content/uploads/2013/12/Juggernaut-3-4-clipped-1024x769.png
  6. I might have something. What did you have in mind? I can send you a PM of what I have later this evening
  7. Another option is to use a Bashguard and one of these instead of the smallest chainring http://www.blackspire.com/qs/product/83/5946/263245/0/0 http://www.blackspire.com/site_assets/www.blackspire.com/images/dynamic/BlackGuard.jpg If you're interested I have a brand new one in my box of tricks
  8. Pics or it didn't happen
  9. A suspension seatposts is not the same as a dropper post, as the thread Meezo referred to.
  10. Have to agree!
  11. Damn, sorry I missed this. How was it?
  12. There is an agreement that was negotiated quite a few years ago to allow night riding in Tokai at night. The conditions are (as I know them): • Only Tuesday to Thursday • Every person riding must have a permit or day pass. • sign in at the gate • a group of at least 3 people for safety
  13. Heavy rider? Try 103kg, using 34 tooth chain ring and 11-41 cassette, fine for me
  14. I think the OP needs to clarify whether those prices were for hub or for the wheel build as well.
  15. Not sure the OP expected that. Sounded like the salesman brought that up
  16. Considering a Deore level hub will cost less than R 350 I don't think the OP is far off
  17. Shouldn't be a problem
  18. To quote Omega Man from this thread https://community.bikehub.co.za/topic/137342-tokai-mtb-club/
  19. FYI this is what I did. https://community.bikehub.co.za/topic/131061-ultra-poormans-xx1/
  20. Not necessarily, but it is advisable to get a Narrow/Wide chainring and/or clutch derailleur. Though there are people who make do without either.
  21. There may have been a slight tongue in cheek there.

    DIY Frame Build

I'm not sure, I'll check with a frame builder I know. Also maybe contact the guys from Salvo BMX, they use Chromoly on their frames. Can ask them where they source it. They can also do the TIG welding for you.
  23. This is also an option http://www.oneupcomponents.com I think evobikes has them, will check later. I also did a similar thing cost me around R500. I did a how-to which I'll post later too.
