  1. Are you referring to the road stuff still being the same? because that IS still the same. MTB is NOT the same anymore. EDIT: I'll wait for your explanation, I'm usually first to question the "wisdom" of sales people. I have a couple of bits and pieces lying around that I would LOVE to get working together.
  2. Previously all Shimano MTB stuff worked together (2:1 or 1:2 pull ratio), unfortunately not with 10 speed (1:0.99 or something like that). Funny thing is that a SRAM 9 speed shifter works with Shimano 10 speed RD, with a small mod entailing a 6mm spacer.
  3. That is correct with road kit. Shimano changed the pull ratios on their MTB 10 speed stuff
  4. Also check what the shipping costs are BEFORE you bid.
  5. IIRC they had 2 different ones 1 looked like this http://cdn3.volusion.com/n9g24.e5uwf/v/vspfiles/photos/DMR-10mm-Chain-Tugs-2.jpg?1378836204 and the other like this (I think) http://fcdn.mtbr.com/attachments/one/721991d1346926501-swap-out-question-chain-tug-chain_tensioners-new.jpg
  6. Yo! Saw some at Bridge cycles, look a bit different to those though. Will try make a plan to swing past there on the way home one day, if you want. Could also check Olympic Cycles
  7. I may have a barely used one (2 rides) in my spares box too
  8. Worked for me (scourer sponge instead of brush though) The whiskey's for drinking right?
  9. Yes, but only comes in Deore level cassette HG-61 http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/za/en/shimano-deore-hg61-9-speed-mtb-cassette/rp-prod31059 http://www.buycycle.co.za/brands/shimano-en-2-3-4-5-6/shimano-deore-cs-hg61-9-speed-cassette.html
  10. I don't think so, pretty sure I got some recently. (then again that could be a couple years ago) Didn't have any available, so I scrubbed mine out in the shower with a sponge, then had my wife apply Dettol to it. Kind of wept for the first night, but dried up by Friday afternoon.
  11. This stuff works. After that I also use to use some stuff called "Second Skin" or something like that, which you spray on and it forms a second layer of skin. This might enable you to swim etc. (not for too long mind you). You're going to have too search for the stuff. If it helps I crashed last Thursday at Hoogekraal (I don't have triathlon or anything to train for though.)
  12. I found a bell works well on the trails too. Better than shouting Track (or TGGHHHREEKK, depending on which area you ride in ) Unfortunately, mine is in pieces after a small lie-down last week
  13. Regardless, there was no need to strip the guy down and try kick him in the groin when he is detained/cuffed with his hands behind his back. The fact that the cop also tried to arrest the woman taking the video is also not cool.
  14. Doesn't the SAPS report to the minister of police in National government?
  15. The main difference is the axel and the bearings. The V8s held up to some abuse. They went off to a happy owner on a bike I sold. I would've kept them if the bike didn't need a set of pedals
  16. Had those and they are good. currently have a set of these http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/za/en/wellgo-v12-copy-flat-pedals/rp-prod665
  17. Not saying my sources are correct either. Just something I heard
  18. They speed because they are paid for the number of trips they make. There have been reports of some of the drivers skipping stops to get back quicker
  19. I know, looking at the others.
  20. LOL, that's pretty much it at the moment. I'm out....for now anyway
  21. Just because they don't have pending law cases doesn't make them law-abiding. No-one knows whether they have attacked other motorists, maybe not reported, etc. This case has video evidence. Not saying they are not usually law-abiding or that they have attacked in the past. Just pointing out that you do not know this.
  22. Kind of reminds me of one of these http://www.wellpromo.com/upload/upimg82/Cheese-Slicer---9-1-2-x6-1-2-x-144982.jpg
  23. Anybody buying bikes and gear there allowed to take photos on the couch? For display on www.thehubsa.co.za of course
  24. NOOOOO, that's far to narrow
  25. I have a 1988 Miyata 712, still going strong. 6.5kg for completely built up bike? You have a link to their website?
