  1. Not possible with some of the GXP BBs, I had one at one stage where that bit was part of the inner race. Not pressfit in.
  2. Actually, he only needs to look at the pictures
  3. You don't need a SS specific hub for those fixie sprockets Hairy posted
  4. I see they keep deleting all reference to it
  5. It's identical to the Ice-lift V8. Which is a copy of the Gravity Dropper with the remote. Nice thing about both the Forca and the Ice-lift is that cable doesn't exit the post at 90 degrees. Has 3 settings: fully extended, 1/4 down and fully down.
  6. Regardless of the colour, there are a lot more "boxes" on the road these. Almost every demographic seems to have a chip on their shoulder. Unfortunately they tend to attract each other and group together.
  7. One of my neighbours is friends with the guy, I'll see if he can find out what happened.
  8. I'm still trying to picture how the incident occurred as that trail is basically paved, especially at that point. Possibly a bit too much speed and went off trail? Just speculating here.
  9. Seems pretty clear from the eye-witness that this was not the case.
  10. Video evidence is hard to dispute. The "full story" may be interesting but irrelevant.
  11. I would imagine that Rusty having a shop down the road rides there often, unfortunately these things can happen at any time, even on trails you ride often. PS: I don't know where the guy at the gate came from with his story
  12. Maybe you should read the 2nd post in the thread. Van was stationary tjop
  13. Looks promising
  14. I have one of these as a backup. So far quite reliable. Bought it because I needed a 27.2mm post (comes with a shim). Was around 80 euros IIRC http://m.bikeradar.com/news/article/ice-lift-v8-height-adjustable-seatpost-36290/
  15. Spoke to the ranger at the entrance, says the same. Reckons neck, back, leg and maybe arm.
  16. Currently running my combo of Geax Sturdy 2.25 Rear And CST BFT 2.4 on the front. Both generously sized and setup ghetto tubeless with no problem
  17. That's a how long is a piece of string question I'm afraid. Depends on where and how you ride I guess. I bought a set of Giant wheels, a couple of the nipples broke so replaced with brass. Brass are stronger and not likely to corrode.
  18. Only thing I would change, is exchange the alu nipples for brass as soon as possible, and this goes for ANY wheelset. Also if you buy OEM or premade wheels, getting a skilled wheelbuilder to check them over is not a bad idea either.
  19. That sucks, not expected at all along that stretch. But that being said, if it was going to happen at all, a night/morning like last night is when it will. We've noticed in our estate (not closed off) and the surrounding areas, that the more the wind blows or worse the weather is, the more likely there is to be a break-in or dodgy stuff to happen. They use the noise and low visibility as cover. They could've been on their way to or from some break-in scouting or attempt. A case of wrong place at the wrong time.
  20. A Bargain at R100,791.00!!! http://www.wantitall.co.za/GMC-Denali-Road-Bike-Medium-22-5-57cm-Frame-Blue__B000BTEIIU
  21. Not mine, but I can pass on the details and you can make him an offer.
  22. No worries, managed to get hold of some. Thanks anyway
  23. Second hand trainer and slick/trainer tyre.
  24. This is what he has left RooX cranks 110mm BCD RooX tensioners RooX stems Raceface cranks 94mm BCD (I'll confirm this)
  25. Asked for Shimano BBs but none in stock only the cheaper RPM brand. Wanted to get building asap so took it. Anyway found the ones I was looking for.
