  1. Last year, 2 km into to running leg of a triathlon I had serious cramping problems. Luckily it was in vineyards and the tasting venue with beautiful stoep was at 2,5 km. I just chilled there for a while to see of I could recover. After the 2nd offer of the owner and his friends I gladly accepted a beer. Rest of the day I sat on the stoep having wine and watching the race! They later dropped me off at the finish with their bakkie. Best 'bonk' ever.
  2. BUMP Due to poephol with class commiting and then withdrawing yesterday to join another team we are once again a rider short. Iemand wat belangstel of weet van iemand wat sal belangstel? THNX

  7. I'm with outsurance at the moment.....any reason why I should be worried? Vaste, does indwe insure bike on its own or must it be part of household and car?
  8. doneer, hy het bad luck. All the best to him and recovery.
  9. 5 hours at least. so you should be finished by 15:00. Food should taste good after that at least.
  10. more important WHAT are you having?
  11. donner, daai klein laaities lyk aggro! Cool pics. Waar is daai een waar JP so op sy tande knersis?
  12. Old start times would have been a mess of sorts. You would have guys like me started in A but being to weak and drifting back through the bunch trying to old on to every bunch. Because of the 1 min. gaps that would given me the best time. With 10 min gaps things should be MUCH better. Guess thats why everyones seeding jump so much.....they made the groups much bigger again to be able to have longer gaps between the groups.
  13. cant we just make it a sticky post on the front page?
  14. unreal how much things have changed in a relative short time. Weird how I cant imagine seeing a rider riding sub-3 with something like this. FanieFiets2010-03-01 10:02:37
  15. 2:36:55. then you should do 2:59:45
  16. DG - only because i do not have a pic of you on this thread. Something with the bottombracket cup thing. It is completely loose from the carbon. Soooooo, one halve of the mechanics wants to machine a bigger hole and the put in a new 'thing'. The other halve wants to glue the sucker back. Me - I do not 'feel' for the bike anymore. And honestly do not trust the glued or thinner machine bb options. (look out for a very good priced fondriest frame soon ) Oh, I paid R 2K for it, so it isnt a train smash. SO I need a bike asap, i ride nearly everyday and feeling lost without one. I know it is not ideal to shop like this but if I sit and wait for the 'right' bike I might as well sell my argus entry.
  17. ja, die carbon is net onder R 7K. Hierdie is die alu een. Ek het genoeg vurke en seatposts so die raam alleen kos slegs R 2500-00. cheep.
  18. aaaah bikemonster, true words indeed! Planet X should go fast and that is my first objective. The one i am strugling with ever since I go on a bike. Problem I have at the moment is that there is serious problems with my current frame and it may take a couple of weeks to sort out if it can be fixed if at all. I think it is a great idea to buy new and then according to budget as neither of these really gives me a semi. It will be much easier to upgrade in the future.
  19. Any comments?
  20. So time has come that I have to buy a new frame again. I do not want to spend a lot seeing that I do not have a lot to spend. Orca is about R 2500-00 more expensive. Choices are a alu frame: http://www.planet-x-bikes.co.za/images/products/Superlight-Alloy-three-quarter.jpg Or a Orbea Orca second hand. CATCH is that the rear chain stay had a small crack that was fix by a very very good carbon fixing person. (thats the actual bike). ~What say yee. Carbon 2nd hand or Alu new? Thnx
