Keep in mind that there could have been a huge group out of batch I or something that did a 2h50 which would give them a better seeding than you, thus pushing you back. Plus other races can also bump up your seeding.

Up to A this year from B. Granted I rode a 2:30:38 last year which was about 1min slower than the winning A time.
