  1. I have changed from ZTR's to Mavic Crossmax and it is rather a diffrent ride, the wheelset is stiffer. But then I'm not your conventional maergat on bicycle.....
  2. Eur 10 000! No way, must say I can think of some nicer looking bikes for that pricey sum!
  3. jy gaan nog laaaaaaaank !!!!!!!
  4. Wag ma vir die seriously overpaid Racetec!!!!
  5. Due to issues with private land being used we don't really want to put the map "out there". On the morning the organisers will brief all involved. I will post whatever I am allowed!
  6. That is correct!
  7. OK, you guys asked for some changes and some fun, so..... The distance has been changed to around 53km's! And the total ascent has changed slightly to around 1300m. Nothing serious, just a bit different. DO NOT expect the normal!

  9. The surprise is not the singles......
  10. Just a little note - there is a BIG surprise (hopefully if all goes to plan) waiting for you guys. Keep some legs for the last couple of km's. And yes, some singles in the forest below the monument........
  11. The supply of this product is becoming more scarce by the day. CWC has a couple of items, but no real stock and they say they don't know when they will get new stock..... NOT GOOD! Seems it is time to change!
  12. I can just mention that the Fox 29er shocks seem to be a bit "pissy". Within 9 months mine has needed a complete rebuild, yet it did have intermediate servicing and I believe I look after my gear properly. Many chaps with Fox shocks are having issues......

So.... How is the training going guys???? And girls??????
  18. Iewers het iemand se kop uitgehak toe hulle hierdie fiets ontwerp het!
  19. How does the organisers justify more than a 14% increase in the cost of doing this event when the offering stays average? Remember this fee excludes your "reserve" fee, pasta meal and if you pay with a credit card they slam you with another 6% fee on top of your entry fee. And I KNOW that that is not the fee the bank is charging! Come on Ecobound, we as riders commit to your event, but it seems your commitment to us does not stay in line with your financial demands from us!
  20. My 29er Anthem just picked up a shudder and guess.... yip! The FOX Shock! Now its holidays, nobody can fix it and just for fun I'm having to train for the ATTA! And I hear its not the first 29er Fox shock going busted within 1 year of rather rustige riding!
  21. I was in A and yes I saw the 2 18 wheelers, scary ****. But I also saw guys riding slip over the white line nearing the other yellow line and not taking notice of fellow cyclists telling them to come left of the line. There were some bike marshals, but not the normal number and on a few occasions they too got the finger from some of the guys. We do have to start taking some responsibility for our actions, Everyone knows the rules, yet only a few obey. Who are we going to blame if someone gets hit by a car on the wrong side of the white line, the car, the bike marshal or the cyclist breaking the rules?
