  1. Valid point your making
  2. Will it help my time in the August? Hahaha!
  3. Honestly though, maybe ask if he thinks cycling would be where it is today without Armstrong, Contador, and the likes. And if the negative effect their doping had is maybe more short term than the positive effect Armstrong had on cycling? And also, if he thinks there is room for someone clean to come along and dominate the dopers, or if its not possible at all (in his opinion)
  4. Def going to buy the book on my Kindle tonight. Some insight as where to by the best dope will be cool as well, if you don't mind.
  5. Basically the same as what Bianchi said above. If your going up a steep and technical climb on your MTB, and you try and mash the pedals, your not gonna win. MTB'ers tend to focus more on the complete, full, round pedal stroke than most road riders do. I know I do. If I ride my road bike, and we hit a climb while I'm feeling strong, I'll just mash my way up to the top. But if there's no place for mashing, and I'm sitting in a very easy gear on my MTB, I have to make sure I pedal very smoothly. Just my 2c
  6. +1. MTB'ers have got far superior pedal techniques. But road riding can make you faster, and build very good endurance. At the end of the day I think that whatever bike your on (road bike, MTB, SS, etc), doing whatever kind of training (endurance, technical, climbing, intervals, etc) you will benefit from riding that bike, one way or another.
  7. +3 The okes at my LBS starts laughing automatically when I walk through the door with my bike. Breaks are the biggest culprit . But yeah, I agree with another post here. I do something stupid on a bicycle every week
  8. Personally I'm just looking for the energy drink with the most steroids in, that I can buy over the counter. That works best for me, and also gives the best results. Everytime
  9. Agree with all that Covie said

  14. This is exciting!
  15. Unfortunately on the same day as the Durbanville High School fun ride, which now has a MTB leg as well, if I'm not mistaken. This is gonna make it difficult for these okes... Hope you draw plenty people though!

  18. Ooohh... lets hope for the best. I don't know if any of the event organisers are following this thread, but let's hope that if some of the original route gets washed away, they can work in a detour or something?
  19. Ja, the date in the OP is a bit confusing, but it is definitely Sunday.
  20. Anyone got any updates as to how the track looks after the small amount of rain that fell yesterday?

  22. Maxxis, that is the best looking frame I've seen in a very, very long time!
  23. A mate of mine actually bought a 29er carbon frame from him a while back, and had he's whole setup done there, so that's why the name stuck! I can say that he's over the moon with the bike and the service
  24. KappiKappi?
