Awesome! Could you maybe point me in the direction as to where I can find info regarding the different groups/categories?
  3. We should talk JGR!
  4. Great!! Any idea of items on sale, possible prices, etc?
  5. Mark Cavendish. - OPQS
  6. Agree. The anthem is a monster bike, and the Monarch suspension superb
  7. Interesting topic Anyone perhaps knows how difficult it is to do the same lock out conversion on a Fox 29er fork?
  8. Haha, I'm cool with that Should be a very cool idea though, but I guess there's a LOT of hard work involved. Won't have any shortage of members - both road and MTB
  9. Please do not hesitate .
  10. Interesting. Thanks!
  11. What do you guys make of this? https://www.bikehub.co.za/classifieds/52766-nuun-tour-de-france-competition-bicycling-magazine/
  12. http://bicycling.com/blogs/hardlyserious/2013/06/14/my-craziest-day/ Cool article regarding the 2010 TdF - from Jens Voigt
  13. Woohoo - Thanks my man
  14. You should see the amounts of pork I eat. I buy the things at the butchery - it looks like a mix between biltong and bacon strips or something, but man, they are probably around 90% fat. Chow those babies down, and my keto strips have never been this purple. It's probably even a deeper purple than the most extreme colour on the box . Is it be possible to eat too much saturated fat?
  15. \We need the recipe!!
  16. Phone JP at Recycles in Durban Road, Bellville. Bought the Giant XTC 29er that CWC also has for under R15 900 I think (R17 200 including XT pedals and tubeless conversion). Got awesome service. He fetched the bike from Giant in the morning, built it up, and i collected it after work, same day. He mentioned the stock on Mediums are running low, but it's worth a try. Honestly think it is a great buy! Their no is 021-948-6372
  17. Cant remember what the entry cost was?
  18. Congrats on organising a very nice race! Well marked, Marshals knew what to do and was friendly, lekker vibe at the start - coffee, sarmies, fires, etc. All in all a very nice event, and I will be back for more! Just a suggestion from my side - the route is not very technical at all, and the climbs not too taxing, so if you can manage to get in a longer route (say about 60-65km), it should be popular. Even if it only climbs 200-300m max more than the 42km. It is just great fun on the trail, and another 20km will just be better! Especially the kind of terrain in the first 10-15km. I think this might appeal to some riders who are training for the popular Knysna Oyster Festival 80km, Die Buger 60km and maybe even the K2C 100km! Just a suggestion - and once again, well done!
  19. Thanks for the replies guys. Somehow managed to unfollow the thread via my phone, so only caught up now. Thanks for all the info and links
  20. Very interesting, Tombeej! So, this made me wonder - if you are not aiming to better a current health problem, would it make sense to aim to constantly be in the Ketosis group of Edit: This sucks - typed a super long msg and my phone cut it off at the above. Anyway, comes down to asking wether there are any real benefits of staying under 50g of carbs a day if not for medical reasons? Will my endurance performance be really affected if I move to the next group, lets say between 50 and 100g of carbs a day? Thanks!!
  21. Any more feedback from okes who bought from these sites recently? I'm looking into it now, and would appreciate some advice on the sizing? How does it compare to, for eg, Anatomic and First Ascent stuff? If I'm a medium in those 2 brands, will I be a medium or large on the Chinese sizing? Thanks
  22. Awesome news!! Thanks for the thought! Good luck with all the remaining arrangements for the weekend
  23. I have a suggestion - seeing as we are gonna freeze at the start, how about some of those drums/barrels to make a couple of fires at the start point. Just to keep warm? Think it might be a nice touch
  24. Found the profile! Thanks!
