  1. As I always say: People will treat you how you let them treat you.
  2. I've had many blenders in my life. By far the best is my current MAGIMIX ( http://www.magimix.com/index.php?rid=3772&lg=100 ) Do yourself a favour and check this blender out. It's awesome. Robust, simple and easy to clean. The parts are all stainless steel/glass and it comes with a grider as well. 1200 Watt motor. Best smoothies/crushed ice/soups etc yet. http://www.magimix-spares.co.uk/media/STOCKIMG/002A522A.JPG
  3. oh, the tragedy of that! I often ride without a helmet, especially if I'm playing in the city on my BMX. Gloves work for me. Tuck and roll. Sometimes I just want the wind through my hair while cruising a farm road, or on DH runs I'll ride to the top with my full face strapped to my bag. It's my head. Who are you to care or tell me otherwise. Laws or not, stop being so self righteous.
  4. Use the chest mount instead. It's a great pov
  5. Went for a ride this morning. Because of this thread instead of not greeting cyclists like I normally don't, I flipped the bird at then and said "f@&k you".
  6. who cares if you think I'm rude? So what? I certainly could care less. I'm fine in my skin pal. Feel free to think or say what you like, just don't expect me to greet you if we pass each other, although I don't ride jeep tracks that much so it's unlikely. Clint, you should realize that you are being self righteous expecting people to care when you pass. Seriously now, this topic gets debated to death on here. It's lame. And the other chappie who called me a rather lovely name for a ladies flower, it's all good. When it's needed I'll be the first to offer you my spare tube, or chain link. I'll be the first to ask if you are ok. But don't spoil it all by wanting smiles from everybody. My 1 year old does that and I expect it. Grow up rather.
  7. Who cares??? Do you greet everyone you pass at the mall? I mean, we all have a common interest when there...to shop. So we should walk around going "hello" "hello" "hello" "hello" "hello" "hello" "hello" "hello" "hello" "hello" "hello" "hello" "hello" "hello" "hello" "hello" "hello" "hello" "hello" "hello" "hello" "hello" "hello" "hello" "hello" "hello" "hello" "hello" "hello" "hello" "hello" "hello" "hello" "hello" "hello" "hello" "hello" "hello" "hello" "hello" "hello" "hello" "hello" "hello" "hello" "hello" "hello" "hello" "hello" "hello" "hello" "hello" "hello" "hello" "hello" all day??? Get a freaking life dude. I don't greet cyclists when I ride because I don't want to. It's my 'ME' time, and I'm not there to socialise. Get over it. Although, Clint, I'd love my foot to greet your behind.
  8. Faaaar too much attention paid to things colour matching. This bike should be covered in mud, scratches and blood in any case Sweet ass bike dude. Really killer. Think I might get me one.
  9. Terrible business move. Firstly, the clients are dog tired, so the sessions will take ages. Secondly, the ladies will have to deal with sweaty 'packages'. Last thing I feel like after a hill climb is to ride more
  10. Here's the answer to your question: Look at what Akrigg is riding here...
  11. The cranks will more than handle bashes on rocks etc. Carbon fibre is stronger than you think.
  12. I hope you are happy now...
  13. I think it just become too confusing then. Is it peak time now, or in 5 minutes, is my watch wrong etc?I reckon just keep it simple. If a trail is DH/AM specific it should say so at the head and tail. If no runner are allowed, then it should say this. If the runners want us to share our trails with them, then it should be reciprocated by letting us have theirs, like Elephant tra.......dooo dooo doooooodooodoooo
  14. ja ja ja, this has been debated to death! At Tokai you yield for the downhill rider. because we all live to ride flowing, fast downhills here and you'll appreciate that when you've worked hard to get to the top.
  15. What part of the thread title gave you that idea?? " Walkers on Single Track in Tokai"
  16. Haha, I look like a frail ape that needs to take a 4 day old dump. That's why I run in isolation
  17. You know, runners have just about every single hiking trail in the entire TMNP to run on, and yet they must run on the few singletracks the we have. Why should we yield for them? Why should we get bells on our bikes? Maybe they need to learn to run elsewhere. I trail run too and would never dream of running on the mtb trails. I head out into the park and never see another person most days.
  18. does this come with v-neck t shirts?
  19. the only solution is proper signage. a simple "MTB only" would do the trick.
  20. That's absurd. Then you deserve to pay 900 Zumalecs for a new part. You could have just told the guy what he did and ask how it would be dealt with. Anyway, insurance should cover this sort of mishap.
  21. Amazes me how people refuse to read the manual. A simple google and you can easily find which oil to use with Hope. This laziness came at a price though...1 liter of mineral oil ( who buys a liter of this stuff haha!!!) and a whole overhaul. I'd live to see what this person does to 'repair' his home. I can guess a lot of sticky tape and presstic all over the show
  22. dude, the park is massive. It'd be impossible to patrol every corner and bend. Security needs to come from everybody's eyes on the lookout, with swift action when something is spotted. Also, these fools are cowards. They go for easy targets. Stay in groups, be alert. Don't go out riding with valuables like wads of cash and fancy gadgets. Just keep it simple and ride with buddies. You should be trying to do this anyways for many other reasons, like learning from each other and stoke. If you have any idea about the Cape hills you'll understand that it is impossible to fence off and control the entire area. If you are worried about security for the sake of children, the rather head out to Jonkershoek or other private trails where there is secure access control. Just please do not start taking weapons and guns out riding. You will only end up hurting yourself and others. Normally, these little rodents act in groups and thus as soon as a couple are caught and sitting just down the road in Polsmoor, their buddies will hopefully move off back to terrorising some pensioners and soft targets elsewhere. Or they are also welcome to try their luck in my neck of the woods, where there are some serious hollowpoints waiting along with just about everybody and his dog being tactically trained.
  23. How frustrating. Unfortunately once these vermin get wind of easy targets and these sorts of places, like rats, they will keep coming back. Start to use force, they bring their own. Start to patrol the area, the find another spot. I think the only solution is to ride in groups of 4 and up. Definitely don't ride on non designated nights and always alert officials of any suspicious rats lurking around. Could these emergency numbers please be posted as a sticky on the Tokai forum? Stay safe people, and please let's not start bringing our M9's to the trails. There are children around.
  24. I don't buy this for a second. His partner MUST have known. With EPO you don't just pop a pill on the side and wait. Surely KE must have known something was up when DG was spinning at all hours and ducking off. There is no way he couldn't have known. And why would he have come clean before he was busted? Andydude, I really dig your viewpoint there. 2 years is more than enough banning for DG. People are driven to do these things by the pressure they are under to succeed, via the sponsors etc. A life ban is pretty harsh, and not called for. He made a mistake. It's not our place to judge him further. At 37 years old it must be really tough at the top. I could easily forgive him for this, just like I forgave Hansie. People make mistakes. We are human.
  25. from their website "The TWIST gets its pressure (needed to make an espresso) from the same recyclable and affordable 8g pressure cartridges that have been safely used in whipped cream dispensers worldwide for over 80 years." So cool! Take one riding, use your bombs to draw some shots of espresso before hitting that big gap
