Anyway, Andrew was a monster himself! The event was really good though. Quiet area, some spectators, good roads, very good marshalling and traffic control. WPCA, if you do another one, I'll be there. I'm just curious...anyone ever had one of these weekends? The past few weeks and weekends I've actually been training...TitusTi got bored of riding to Franschoek alone, so dragged me along The past weekend though I decided to take Saturday off...slept until 9am, fetched MTB from shop. Sunday was supposed to go ride, but it didn't happen so after getting sms from people cancelling I headed back to bed...and woke up at...11am! Monday, again arranged for a trip with the mtb, got a sms cancelling at 6am, went back to sleep....wake up at 10am!!! Body needed it? Weird thing is I don't even feel remotely guilty, but I do feel quite rested

To be honest, if I'm in the zone, zooming down, and see you riding up it, I'd also be slightly annoyed. Areas like the 'fairy garden' are known for having two way traffic, but the rest of the routes tend to be downhill, so riding up them is opening a can of worms. Best ride uphill on the roads, downhill on the singletrack

What a waste of petrol. SV's went so damn hard I got shelled in the first 10km. Rolled through in the small group with Marius but was seriously not enjoying the race, so turned off at the 40km short route and went home..
