  1. A Blood type, you should not be eating much meat according to eating to your blood type, maybe change your diet. My biggest problme is if I cut down too much I wake up at 1am having a hypoglycaemic attack, end up wide awake and feeling light headed and nauseaous, won't go away till I eat some carbo. Fun times. So to me just starving yourself doesn't do the trick.
  2. Must be a female thing, Then you start getting good and PMS kicks in and all goes out the window. Ha ha ha
  3. Good to see you are still alive Thug
  4. I did a 3:15 in E when my daughter was 6 months old and E bunch dropped me on the first highway . I think you're going to have a good time trying to hang on. E is a strong bunch. Try stick with them and aim for a 3
  5. At the Sports Institute the dietitian told me I wasn't eating enough carbo's for the amount of exercise I was doing and when increasing it I actually lost weight. So not as simple as calorie in calorie out as some people make it.
  6. For more KJ info 1g fat = 38KJ 1g Alcohol = 27KJ 1g Protein = 17KJ 1g Carbo = 17KJ
  7. Nah, it's just the fact that's it's lunch time.
  8. Once again, need to find the balance between weight bearing exercise and cardio. It all comes down to balance...easy said, don't ask me how though.
  9. Just make sure you're talking calories and not kilojoules??
  10. Unless there is some health problem??? Biggest problem is is finding out what is the right eating and training for you. What works for you may not work for me.
  11. Try the Centre for Sports Medicine in Rosebank (011 788 5110)
  12. Just omega 3, not 6. And it must be over 100 HDA and in total a 1000mg per tablet. The Biogen Omega 3 is a good one. I personally find that too hard a training too often leads me to fatigue and then I eat more . I've personally given up on training programmes. No one really puts in the time to learn your body. What works for me if I really want to lose weight is a good 5-6 hour ride every now and then (and then of course the interval training inbetween) and make sure you get enough rest.... Rest is a very important part of training.
  13. Oh, and I use my baby's bum cream, a lot cheaper and actually works better
  14. A lot of the guys have picked up on most things from what I know just one thing? Maybe you need to do some resistance training. The problem with cycling is there is no resistance, very bad for muscle building. Maybe try cut out a cycle and do weights (or even a run), this includes some resistance then and will help lose the fat and build muscle, which is really your aim. Where do you stay?? Maybe try a sports institute which has sports dietitians and others. I saw Dr Jon Patricious and he looks at everything as a whole rather than just your diet. Probably something really small and stupid you are missing. I'd personally give anything to have your dedication, I'd look like a movie star then. Good luck and let us know.
  15. I'm keen but can't we make it 7:00, some of us have a loooong way to go to get there?
  16. I fully agree, all guilty parties must pay. Every single one of them had the choice to say no and get a new job. Though there is a lot underlying the fact that Lance really was the dope king and led a lot of people to go that way. I'm glad I don't have the decision to make.
  17. That's been my line of thinking here as well. They should have thought of the athlete before the sport when this all started, it's a bit late now. Where is it going to leave the world of cycling and the athletes now if this whole can of worms really does come to the surface. How far will they go? It might be good if they do start making the race organisers realise that humans can only push so far and things need to change but money makes the world go around, is that ever really going to happen? The organisers, the teams, the sponsors and the riders themselves will all have to take major pay cuts.
  18. Firstly I'm not a man, my name let's you know Secondly, I do waaayyy too often.
  19. I pity your ignorance.
  20. So if they find some rapist after 16 years he should not be charged??
  21. With what we've heard over the last few years I really do wonder if there is any chance for someone clean to actually be able to be a pro cyclist? Does he have any adverse affects showing from the drugs? What would he tell future cyclists to help them not do the same as he did in their future?
  22. I thought it was more horrific them keep calling us bloody Aussies.
  23. Well to be honest you guys make me feel good for just ignoring and driving past...if it's your bike sorry for you. No assumptions anymore.
  24. Today is the second time going up Henny Alberts on my way to work and seeing a black worker riding a stolen MTB. The other day I saw a silver silverback and today a red and white Giant. I'm so tempted to ride into the guy and take the bike back but that is not right and I'm too nervous to stop and confront them because it was originally taken by force and who says this guy will not get forceful with me. So in all honesty, what should I do??
  25. Fully agree.
