  1. thanks for an interesting article.
  2. Seems strange to me.
  3. Sorry for slight high-jack: So then is it not a good idea to take a little shock oil and put a little on your stanchions every so often and cycle the shock/fork up and down a few times, then wipe of the excess??
  4. I wipe my whole bike down with an oily rag after every wash
  5. so what happend??
  6. Nice work, I would be very keen to hear the results. Maybe soak a standard (sealed) bearing for 5 minutes, then see if any prepsol has penetrated the bearing??
  7. My buddy polished his, then he got a vinyl XTR stencil made, then had the logo sand blasted (lightly) back on to the cranks, they look awesome!!!
  8. reminds me of were I used to live in Ireland.
  9. Lovely bike, although those XTR cranks looking tired. They need to be polished. I have a buddy who polished his, then he sand blasted the XTR logo back on, look fantastic.
  10. i think mine is R85 / 5l
  11. I usually get mine from midas, it comes in a round white plastic bottle with red writing.
  12. So I guess if you do not spray it enough to penetrate seals, then it should be ok?
  13. Hi Guys I have been using prepsol to clean my bike with for the last few months, and find it fantastic. I spray it all over my bike, then rinse off after about 2 minutes. I then spray more on my chain and cassette, then leave for maybe 10 minutes then rise off, obviously avoiding all seal were possiable. Also I don't use a strong stream of water, just a trickle, with my thumb over the end. Now my question is: I have heard numerous slanders against this product, like "prepsol will eat your seal" I don't understand how a degrease like this can "eat seals" I understand that if you spray it with enough intent, and it penetrates a bearing, it will de-greaser the bearing, but I am not sure it can "eat seal" ie melt rubber?? What are your guys views on washing a bike in this manner, and using prepsol as a de-greaser/bike wash?? Am I maybe miss inderstanding the way in wich this produt should be used??
  14. I still think that its a bit dear, but if you willing to send me a sample, you might change my mind.
  15. seem a little pricey. Prepsol is about R90-00 for 5l and it works a treat!!!
  16. price?
  17. Try who? Giant or Gobi? What is the cost of a new Gobi XM??
  18. very very kewl!!
  19. I used to have a stelle, but for me my gobi is way more comfy
  20. I think it might be just past the three months mark. I might have to get to test how good my cycle sure insurance really is.
  21. Hi Just noticed that my Gobi Xm is craked right through underneath. This is a a 3 month old saddle that came standard on my new Giant AnthemX1. Do you think that Fizik would replace it?? Do I got to Giant, or do I contact the local Gobi rep?? Thanks
  22. I wonder how much these guys are selling stolen bikes for?? I am due for an upgrade, maybe I should go shopping in Moz for a new bike??
