  1. worst shoes I have EVER seen!!!
  2. Interesting, thanks for posting. Although, I am suspicious as to how accurate it is??
  3. one of these http://www.re-buy-cycle.co.uk/uploads/210/0.jpg then one of these http://www.mtbdiary.co.uk/images/fullsize/fire_mountain.jpg I love that Kona, my first "proper" MTB, I should have never sold it!!!
  4. well, if you are in cruising in the middle of the road, and said 4x4 cant safely over take, then your at fault!
  5. I still support CRC, I think the locals must catch a wake up. Both my hobby's (cycling and RC heli's/planes) revolve around buying 95% of goods on line. for RC its hobbyking.com and for cycling its CRC.
  6. very nice rideing
  7. thanks for all the advice, I will inform my buddy.
  8. Hi all I have a friend, who rides a hard tail. He dose the occasional race, but also rides his his VERY hard, hitting some jumps and huge drop offs (free ride style) He had a Tora fork (the model without the air) which he has subsequently broken. Can anyone recommend him a fork (new/second hand) that is relatively cheap, but strong enough to take the kind of abuse that he dishes out?
  9. I think i might experiment with an old chain.
  10. That's exactly my point the packing grease works well as a lube. Now to try replicate that method.
  11. I would LOVE to find what new chains are dipped into. It seems (IMHO) to be the best lube.
  12. not sure? Would it become any worse than the original lube, or an aftermarket lube?
  13. Hi All. I don't want to start another "my lube is better than your lube debate" but would it be possible to melt grease then dunk your chain in the melted grease to lube your chain. In theory all the thin grease should get into all the rollers. Once dry, wipe off excess and ride? I would imagine new chains are lubed in a similar method. Has anyone ever tried this method?
  14. Hi This is going to sound silly, but when I get a new bike the first thin I do is give the frame a really good coat of polish with a good quality car polish. I believe this goes a long way in protecting the paint work. I normally re-polish every 6 months. I have owned two giants and have never had any issues with the paint work.
  15. o ok, thanks for clarification on that.
  16. Are you saying that the SLX free hub fit the Shimano XT?
  17. o crap, I have just bought a set of these XT wheels. What exactly happens to the free-wheel body??
  18. Not a big fan of felt (not that there is anything wrong with them), but that bike looks really sexy in a old school kind of way!
  19. This is going to sound silly, but also just try loose a few KG's of yourself, it's the cheapest.
  20. Wow, this is the best laugh I have had in ages!!!! Thanks for the post!
  21. HI Any vegetarian cyclists? Just wondering if the lack of meat would affect your athletic performance? Do you take any additional supplements? I am not trying to start any argument meat eaters vs non!
  22. the prank is great!!
  23. I have never had an issue with CRC. (touch wood)
  24. lol. I have been watching this thread to see when JB was going to respond. If JB says it cant be done, then it CANT be done! nuff said
  25. Shop around. But from my experience, there should not be a huge difference in price between shops when it comes to frames.
