    Helmets?

Folding tyres are fine in there, I've done a few of them yes. Wire bead is a bit trickier.

    Helmets?

Nope, she is quite aware of my strange dish washer desires.
  4. Somewhere in the Helderberg area I was told.

    Helmets?

https://community.bikehub.co.za/topic/157524-how-often-should-you-replace-your-helmet/?p=2828491 Been doing it for years. Keyboards, Motherboards, bike parts, the clogged up window washer spayers for a Peugeot 407, sandals, phone covers - these are but a few of the things I successfully clean in my dishwasher.
  6. I have been told first hand by PPA staff that their mandate states if they have an event that is not a profitable one they cannot host it again.

    Helmets?

I'm still using a Bell I got in 2013. Every other week I pop it in the dishwasher to keep it smelling fresh.
  8. I stay next to the route and at 4am I was waken up by the storm and figured this is one of the few events I won't be going to. Got the SMS that it was cancelled 30 minutes later.
  9. 1C... and I'm going to take the 29er so this does not bode well. Just a heads up, the yellow lane coming down into Stellenbosch at Blue Jay farm is closed. They are fixing a hole.
  10. I've been thinking about a few things regarding this event. Somehow I think this will become the only MTB event to go along with both the CTCT and the SCT. Here are the reasons I believe that is the case and that there won't be a Stellenbosch MTB challenge later in the year. 1) The timing, The MTB Challenge is between the SCT and CTCT. 2) The name, calling the simply The MTB Challenge means it can apply to both SCT and CTCT. 3) The route, it incorporates sections features on the old Argus MTB as well as the old Stellenbosch MTB. 4) Dirtopia did say they are offloading the Stellenbosch MTB. The one question I do have is are they still giving these away to people that complete both the 60km MTB and the CTCT?
  11. The 60km is going to be way harder than the old long route. This is basically the Fedhealth long route - and it's a tough one.
  12. Seeing as they brought it back to Stellenbosch and I can make my way to the start on my bicycle, I'm in.
  13. Joining the family that already made their way to the West Coast.
  14. I'm keen too. I did the 2018 Fed Health (the one that was not a big cluster f...k) and it was a killer. Imagine that at the end of February when it's nice and toasty outside.
  15. So this is the same route as Fedhealth ?
  16. I actually had an experience inline with this today. I got in touch with 4 LBS for crown race / headset base spacer and each and everyone of them came back to me with some sort of BS answer. I already ordered the part off ebay was looking for one I'll get my hands on sooner. Made a post here on bikehub, got a link to an online seller bought what I needed - get's delivered tomorrow.
  17. In my case I just try the next one, I have had both good service as well as shoddy service from the same shops. If one does not do something right I move on to the next one until they slip up with something. Rinse and repeat.
  18. Me and some guys in the office play Xonotic over lunch time (12:30 to 13:30) so if you like 'n lekker fast (free) arena shooter then come and join. Server is called "Zombie Apocalypse" and if you join you'll see why.
  19. Could be, it is a private game farm.
