  1. Costs way more too, after trading roots for profits I guess. I don't do stages. I ride bikes. Last times I played something with stages it was Mario Bros on TV games. Or Load shedding.
  2. New route - I'm keen to give it a try. Pity about the CSA fine slapped onto it.
  3. I'm in. Having a house in Dwarskersbos will make this a very convenient ride.
  4. Indeed, and the sealant was so easy to remove, it was a basically dry latex. Thankfully a local hardware shop here on the West Coast had some cheap Chinese 26x1.95 tyres and tubes so a nudge over R300 and I am back on the road.
  5. Snuffed out in their prime. Never got to put 10,000km on these, just look at how much tread they still have left.... Not typical behavior for me but they just won't hold air. Rode 10km with the one completely flat.
  6. I ride everything on a hardtail, this was smooth sailing all the way for me. That said I have no idea what pressure my tyres are on, last time they saw a pump was before Argus and then they went up to 3.5 bar. Suffice to say they are nowhere near that pressure now 😁 Did not see a single gravel bike so I think sensibility prevailed.
  7. Any route maps with elevation profile? I'm keen for a 1 day Saturday ride.
  8. Excellent route! So good to be back on Lourensford (what took them so long?). Route was well marked, river crossing were all rideable, single track was in excellent condition. I think it was well worth the price. Only downsides for me was the burger queue - looked like you would be stuck in it for an hour. Also the parking, I tried to pay for mine but it said "ticket invalid" only to say I owe R10 at the exit. Considering the entry fee I think parking should be included.
  9. Cool, I'm in for a burger and chips that only costs R700 😁
  10. That was fun, perfect weather conditions, friendly faces all round, my knobbies whêr-whêring on the tarmac - awesome ride. Only issue was the lack of parking, I looked at the venue map and thought to myself - that's a bit tight. Sure enough when I arrived at 6am people were already turning around at the entrance. Found some parking next to the reservoir in Suikerbos way. This was my 9th 99er and I think it's called 99er because if given 99 years it would have a different route each time. Only things that stay the same is the start and that finish up the hill.
  11. New route, so I entered. Should be a nice long slog on my knobby 2.35 tyres.
  12. R1500 is about that I paid for Muratie and Bottelary combined. Don't think I'll ever ride further than that.
  13. I rode there last week on Sunday and did not see any of those signs.
  14. Loving all the new single track out there! Did I miss an event or what is this signage?
  15. Yeah, it started out with blowing things up, then 4x4 videos, then the old trail video, then I tried my hand at tech videos, now some short gaming clips. It's a right mess alright. Still have a few tech videos I need to edit but I'm too lazy to learn all the controls on Shotcut having switched from Da Vinci Resolve. My vimeo.com is even worse....
