Immediate suspension is justified, no further participation in club activities or use of club gear until all internal and external processes have concluded. Based on the video taken, and irrespective of his mumbled comments, I'd say general driver rage against cyclists is perfectly justified. WE (you and I) need to change those perceptions and incidents like this only serve to make that so much more difficult than it already is. When the shoe is on the other foot we all clamour for the driver's head, so we have to apply the same standard to the cycling community.

I have no idea what the MC2 membership was before this incident, but it will never be the same again. I doubt any members will dare to ride the Argoos in club gear. Even their FB page is down. It takes just a few bad apples to infect the entire basket.

Not as gungho (read "fit") as I was last year, so don't really care about the weather too much. Sunday I'm gonna take regular pitstops, water breaks and chat up the pretty girls. This year it's all about the enjoyment factor for me. Next year I'll ramp up the pace again.

The Pro division, probably run by CSA as we know it today, will fold within 6 months. The Amateur division, probably run by PPA on an inclusive national scale, will continue to flourish. CSA and guavamunt will never agree to a division split, it's not in their respective interests to cut their face off to spite their nose (sic). For my money I stay away from all things CSA and SUPPORT PPA ALL THE WAY.
