  1. WINTER TRAINING???????????????????
  2. Ahhhh, you're advocating "double posting" and virtual multiple personality disorder. I'm surprised anyone has the time or the inclination to create so-called "dummy accounts". A system should simply log a user off automatically, and cancel ALL basket items, if no movement or transaction has taken place within 15-30 mins. Anyway, multiple blunders on the same transaction indicates either a human resource failure, indifference or complacency. CWC should step up.
  3. Your example is extreme. I am automatically logged off from internet banking if I don't shift screens or effect a transaction within a specific time frame. Surely all basket items should be cancelled if a customers doesn't "checkout" within thirty minutes? If not, it should.

I'm with Agteros, the benefits of running positively influence cycling prowess immeasurably.

Haha, we've covered this already.... speak for yourself
  6. Octavian lives on as himself in the Superbru money pool. Long live, long live!

  8. CSA needs PPA considerably more than PPA needs CSA, without a doubt. Without the Cycle Tour and associated seeding events leading up to it around the country, they have no credibility. CSA only have themselves to blame for pushing PPA into a corner.
  9. Johnny No Mates does screen prints, all very new age trolling!
  10. I have 18000 buddies, right here in the Western Cape, under the umbrella of the PPA. We participate regularly in organised events, and we enjoy the status quo.
  11. Why should ANYONE, irrespective of the distance and frequency, who ONLY rides locally be made to pay a blue penny to a national body? CSA does absolutely nothing for leisure riders, why should they do anything for CSA? Those, like me, who participate in events outside of the Western Cape should pay their dues nationally. So too the league and elite riders with farcical higher aspirations and laughable egos. CSA should learn to leave well enough alone, they're spiting themselves by playing hardball with the biggest leisure cycling association in SA.
  12. PPA haters make me chuckle. I happen to have a CSA license, but ONLY coz I partcipate in so-called sanctioned events outside of the Western Cape as well. It's a bit of a cheek for CSA to insist every kid, oom, tannie , ouma and oupa who enjoys participating in an event once every blue moon should be compelled to cough up 75 bucks annually for the privilege of doing so. Health shouldn't be held to ransom, which is exactly what CSA are doing. To all those crying foul about "prize money", HTFU. What's more important, a few hundred bucks when you happen to hit a podium on a exceptional day, or benevolence? CSA can shove their sanctioned events. League and Elite riders will be the first to bleat to CSA about the loss of the Cycle Tour, the multitude of associated seeding events and prestige that these bring to their fragile egos. Playground bullies need a snotklap, and the PPA is up to the task!
  13. Ok, deleting an ad removes all record of it and related correspondence. Closing an ad merely removes it from the public domain as "active" but declutters the system (from my understanding). Perhaps Matt could explain what the procedure for classified ads should be. Older ads get "closed" by the system anyway. Unsold items can simply be relisted if closed. Linking sold and purchased items to reputational feedback, say with the title of the ad in the text field, would be a relatively easy way of preserving a record of what's traded.
  14. Exactly. It takes as much effort to close or delete an ad as it does to edit it as 'sold'.
  15. Provincial bodies affiliate to the national body BY NECESSITY in terms of the CSA constitution, clubs in turn affiliate to provincial bodies BY NECESSITY for the same reason. The PPA is a voluntary leisure association, PPA membership does not preclude anyone from belonging to or participating in club, provincial or national activities.
  16. Cost of sport = expensive Cost of health = Priceless! Lying on the sofa and doing sweet buggerall is MUCH more expensive, in so many ways. Don't define sport participation in terms of cost, rather view it in terms of benefit and sheer enjoyment!
  17. Hear hear, from your lips to God's ears (I'm not an Atheist). CSA should keep it's dirty paws off the Western Cape and PPA!
  18. Nice machine, ride the crap out of it and have fun!
  19. Wish I could get a 2013 carbon Santa Cruz Medium for "cheap", but no classified posters have felt benevolent enough thus far. What did you miss out on, and by how much?
  20. Butch Walker and the Black Widows - Synthesizers. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZxMlvAxX8ME - Super song, great album. Switch to full screen and pump up the volume. BIG ending!
  21. Says the 18000+ members who belong to the largest leisure cycling association in RSA. Other provinces have a piecemeal approach, whilst the Western Cape is unified under a single banner. PPA are entitled to appoint a single timing contractor that is geographically local with a national presence whichl affords it's members uniformity and a single results profile. Other races that require a Racetec transponder are: The Herald VW Cycle Tour 106km, Eastern Cape Optimum Berge en Dale Classic 97km, Gauteng 99er Cycle Tour 108km, Western Cape Dis-chem Ride for Sight 125km, Gauteng Nedbank Cycle Challenge 100km, Namibia Daily Dispatch Cycle Tour 100km, Eastern Cape Cape Argus Pick n Pay MTB Challenge 52km & 75km, Western Cape Wilro Lions Cycle Challenge 114km, Gauteng aQuelle Tour Durban 105km, KZN Pick n Pay Weekend Argus Rotary Knysna MTB 50km & 80km, Southern Cape Mnt2Mnt Cycle Challenge 106km, Limpopo Lost City Cycle Event 115km, Northwest Province Lost City Mountain Bike Event 70km, NorthWest province D2D Cycling Race 93km, Gauteng Rand Water Race For Victory 110km, Gauteng Kumba Iron Ore Classic 105km, Northern Cape Pennypinchers Die Burger Lions Karoo to Coast 100km MTB Challenge 100km, Southern Cape Cycle Lab Cape Cobra Challenge 85km, Western Cape Bidvest Steiner Penny Pinchers GOK Cycle Tour, Southern Cape PPA One Tonner 156km, Western Cape Amashova Durban Classic 106km, Durban Satellite Classic, PTA MTN OFM Classic 107km, OFS Momentum 94.7 Cycle Challenge 97.4km, Gauteng Die Burger Cycle Tour 92km, Western Cape These of course exclude the balance of the PPA calender, both MTB and Road, and numerous other races that prefer Racetec's organisation and methodology to the other timing companies.
  22. That's just ONE the benefits of belonging to the largest cycling association in SA. Bear in mind it's beneficial and helpful to cyclists to have a single results profile and timing standard. What benefits do you derive from CSA membership? Zippo, nada, zilch, nothing, blowall!
