    Remember there are at least 2 waterpoints along the route that I know of. If you are doing the long loop 50 km ish you should be good with 2 bottles, we did it today and some of us had only one and one special person only had a 500ml bottle and we never stopped anywhere for water. So I come prepared with 2 bottles and you will be fine, and if all else fails there is always a quick exit to the botlary road, polkadraai or Zewenwaght.

    Yes but then they will sit with issues re entry fees. So why not rather up the entry and allow any one in. It is after all A FUNRIDE not a race. If you want to race get a licence and race.

    Frail we are talking MTB here. Not Road. Road l get 10k + MTB 1.5k if I do not look after it and about 3k max of I do. (swapping chains and cleaning after every ride etc.) On 2 x 10 or 3 x 10.

    So now we are dumbing down Bot hills as well. What a shame, this was never a difficult section in any event. Sorry I see _C50_ has the same feelings. Anyway kudos to the trailbuilders; but please lets get some mtb trails in bot hills not just freeways. Remember the over and around the rock sections near Zewenwaght that were used for XCO? That was Entry level stuff that we need more of.

    This is not true. You can plan and manage your Cycle time way better than Golf time so the impact should technically be way less, even if you ride way more than you golf.

    And looking at the brief, it seems like the 5000 bikes are going to be funded out of the charity drive.Or am i missing something? It would have been better to supply the 1st 5000 bikes and THEN add additional bikes through the funds generated via the charity drive/s.

    35th overall and if you exclude the 1hr penalty 24th. They would have been between Kevin Evans and Oli Munik; ouch!

    Common cold cant be treated with antibiotics period. All you can do is treat the symptoms, nothing more nothing less. Ride it out.

    RECM can't complain, I recon the marketing value of this little mishap is quite significant, but I still feel for them.

    Sad that they got 1hr + 13 odd minutes. Felt the penalty was a bit harsh. But Consistent I think. I recall Burry and Suzi getting also getting a hour penalty. So it seems that is the default. But they should still end up on the podium.

    Unfortunately, all the services have been booked and probably paid for if not the timing will result in a no refund scenario. So no matter what, the majority of the funds (excluding profit) is already "spent" so either you go with what you have for those that are here to ride or you cancel totally and there is no refund at all. Pick your choice.

    You are mistaken, so lets clear it up for you. R 6.00 is per rider that has a CSA licence Full race or social/club membership/licence. the R 35.00 is for riders taking part in a CSA sanctioned event that do not have a licence. E.g. I pay my R 120.00 to CSA and every event organizer has to pay CSA R6.00 every time I take part in a CSA sanctioned event. I do not pay my R 120.00 to CSA and the event organizer has to pay CSA R 35.00 every time I take part in a CSA sanctioned event.

    My Question is, how do I know how much cash back I will get? it says UP TO on all the races. So what now? Is it status linked or what? I have not seen any correspondence in this regard.

    And it is UP TO never forget that. And it is up to 25% on some races and 50% on others. So what determines the real %?
