  1. Glad to see he eventually put on a helmut. Donder what are the hemut Nazi saying now.
  2. Eish those were the days, lots of innocent fun. Would like to look at this again, but the wife is not into this so much, so probably never again, aaaaai.
  3. Dude they are paying out tons of moola. The actuaries Fkd up royally and now they want to stop it. Good luck to them sorting out the apple watch and other linked device incentives they signed people up for. The horse has bolted already. The majority of members that did any serious riding since January will have maxed out the points already and they cant take this back. I believe their best course of action it to keep the status as is and just discontinue new entrants and spend the rest of the year getting next year's plan sorted.
  4. OK I have not read all the posts, but I think I get the gist of it. Disco's issue is as follows: 1. They are giving real money out on the freebies, depending on how much you train (Granted the move the posts the more you do) 2. Your points status and other discounts are also linked to your points etc. 3. They want to verify that YOU did the exersise, so that is why certain apps are allowed. EG. I know Garmin logs the device against a person and you cant link 2 people to the same device. (OK you can get around it and and, but it is a mission). What has been happening, or at least I think so, is people have been using Strava to manually create a training event and claim the points. Or better still using the same file to upload to their partner's profile. I would if I could. Easy points that is. I know Polar has the same loophole. regarding the points allocation for cyclists they were waaaaay stupid. I maxed my 30 k point out in 2 weeks. What good it that. I thought their aim was to keep you active the whole year round. Their actuaries were fast asleep on this one. I think a better approach would be to peg points against an average joe's required training requirements to keep him/her healthy. caveat, they also need to keep it attractive for the couch potato to get off his ass. If he feels it is impossible he wont even try. But at the moment their system is broken. Just my 2 cents.
  5. Wait for it, wait for it, it is coming..........
  6. Can they up the sizes, please.
  7. Do they still squeal like stuck pigs?
  8. Works like a bomb, you also get cheaper versions of the same thing, but the 2 stages work a treat.
  9. And to stop all the skeef looks from mates that ride with or past you. I now just plonk it on my nogging with the straps tucked away. Had a largish fall on Thursday resulting in a Mediclinic visit to be stitched up. Noggin was fine as always. The helmet fell off on it's own and is cracked, without even having a head in it. So ja will be using the same one for a while still.
  10. Just think if you were not wearing one it would still be fine.
  11. I think this will replace the Apple Watch at Disco next year....
  12. and why would manufacturers of "banned" substances want to put in markers?
  13. The problem with this is that you do not know who "really does know what is going on" and to make assumptions is the mother of all F%$# ups. As you clearly made with your post this morning. Not slamming you, just making you aware.
  14. Not necessarily due to bad dope, but poor administration of the drug.
  15. Well all his previous partners have been bust.
  16. Netflix are gonna get you now they are here. http://mybroadband.co.za/news/internet/152097-netflix-cracking-down-on-vpn-and-proxy-users.html
  17. Not realy, I am now close to that weight and pressures seem fine. Only place I have a slight concern is seated climbing up steep rocky single track as I seem to put more weight down then.
  18. Back on topic, it is also not so rainy in Ctn, OK a bit windy maybe.
  19. Sorry for the "e" I meant for that to work education is the key. Unfortunately this is not high on our agenda. See it is even affecting me.
  20. Agreed, however, for that to e so education is the key. If you are uneducated, well.................
  21. AF seem to be taking a bit of strain today. Apparently too many RA's being cashed in, or moved. He might be one of those.
  22. Skipped most of the thread (tread ;-)). I looked at this and did not see the value, so help me. Did anyone who joined Team Vitality (or whatever it is called now) break even or not?
  23. Have not read everything but My wife and I are stuck on 1200 points. Fk that is difficult to achieve with a full work schedule. Not to mention the fact that I am a poor sod that probably only rides 2 or 3 times per week. It is just not possible for me to achieve.
  24. Lots of respect there .....
