  1. It is a fake ID.
  2. I am in Brackenfell and will send you information and pricing tomorrow AM.
  3. Fun Fact, Geewiz have been selling on average 100 trolley inverter per day since the beginning of the year. Ellies, the other major supplier have not disclosed, but we believe they have been doing about 30 per day. That is a lot of floor space for Mustek and co to keep stock and lead times are about 90 days so supply and demand is now for sure a huge thing that will drive prices up.
  4. Just note the LiFePo batteries Vs Lead Acid. Lead Acid should be guaranteed for 1000 charge cycles whereas Lead Acid is 1000. Price difference should justify the LiFePo, but only just. But everything depends on the load and how many times they are discharged below 50%. Anyway I have a fleet of 17 Lead Acid installs that are between 1 and 2 years old and they have had no degredation in life as yet. BUT, they are running well within the design spec. Also why spend R 15K Contact me if you are looking for a decent price on these.
  5. Just use a car valve cap over the valve and be done while you wait for the bling.
  6. This is a super cool deal. HOWEVER those crest's have an 85KG weight limit.
  7. Can you get a discount on Discovery life if you leave Vitality and forego the cash back ripoff? It is way easy to get all the vitality points and integration bonuses if you are young, but as you age and have dependents of between 21 and 25 it is basically impossible to stay on diamond if any one of you gave some ailment. It is easy to get to silver and a big push to gold, but diamond is a stretch too far. So the result is I don't care any more about Vitality, just looking for an exit to another life and health cover without loosing too much. Just waiting for my next 5 year payout then I am gone (2 years to go). The sad thing is the we bought into the integration, and only after the 1st year see that what we moved from to go to Discovery was actually better and more cost effective. Sad but true. School fees!!!
  8. Take it straight to Mustek. They will repair or tell you to ditch. Anyone else will probably also sent it in to them. But I can safely say that repairs cost the same if not more than a replacement....... If you can get stock. We have 30 on back order, stock arriving in September, depending on the variant
  9. I recently undecided to do the k2c. The total cost is now no longer appealing anymore.
  10. Red bikes are apparently faster........

  12. Also when descending on loose surface you need to be going faster that the loose surface can move. That way you have control. Go slower than "The Earth Can Move" well you know what happens then.

And in the early days there were not even route markers (before the days of GPS) They normally posted a sign about two to 5 km down the incorrect road saying wrong way. That was it. Don't dare try that today.
  14. Often times Ally frames are lighter than Carbon. But they would never spec an alloy frame with lighter parts as that would blow the market.

Fortunately if you have the correct gear you do NOT NEED TO BE TOUGH. That is the point. Ironic that.

Noted, however rain and mud is synonymous with cold temps in that region at this time of year. You can't have the one without the other.
  18. O Eina, Only an 8 speed (I might be wrong), it will be worth more to you as a training, commuter, IDT bike than to anyone else. I think

To my point, there is no such thing as bad weather, just bad clothing or preparation.

Everyone I know had a normal if slightly more challenging ride. My assessment is people are underestimating big rides, or getting soft or organizers are getting scared. Time for everyone to drink a cup of cement.
  24. I am sure that under the hood they are exactly the same.
  25. No worries, it is just that many get confused and their nickers in a knot for the wrong reasons.
