  2. Herewith a "snotball" I couldn't work out why I could pump my tyre to 12+bar and half the tyre would still be soft. It was also a bit bumpy when I rode....http://img519.imageshack.us/img519/3274/slimedz7.jpg

  8. You can be specific if you choose. I'm 48
  9. The fast one should give you an hour or three in the saddle. Post a wanted ad for an entry and the rest of the hub will see you there. Even Holy will be waiting for you at the finish to collect any bits that fall off your bike for Ronelle's bunch in CT
  10. Ja you weight weenies!!
  11. Hey, I dunno. I agree that there is a lot of cr@p posted and that I am responsible for some of it but it takes all kinds and the hub is, after all, a public forum. However painful it may be to sift out the junk, there are genuine pearls to be found and an enema would flush out the "goodies" as well. Maybe the suggestion to rate hubbers on the content of their posts and not the quantity as voted for by their peers is a good one? BTW HR you have PM
  12. Whooosh - over the head
  13. oooooh I love a good threat in the morning! Widget, good on ya!
  14. Proctologists?
  15. True......but did you not find, as a small business owner, that a lot of your clients supported you because they knew you and had a relationship (albeit business) with you. To an extent that would influence my decision as to where I shop or who I support TiBones2009-01-16 05:10:31
  16. Mine have retracted in sympathy and are now lurking somewhere just behind my breastbone!

  19. So....? T or F. Cut the skinner. We call on Mr. CL for comment
  20. Teflon parts should not be lubed, the lube prevents the PTFE from embedding in the friction material (usually the steel/alu/Ti part)
  21. So, "THEY" say that a way to measure your approximate Max HR is to subtract your age from 220 (BPM). Not entirely scientific but a guide. I rode at Kyalami last night and maxed at 224. at 48 years that is 52 bpm over my supposed max (about the same as my resting HR.) I must confess to worrying a bit that I wouldn't be so good this morning, but here I am.
  22. Sealed bearings, as in the type with a "DD" or "RS" suffix are supplied "greased for life" Usually such bearings have a red or black rubber seal between the inner and outer rings of the bearing. They do not require any lubrication as long as the integrity of the seal is maintained.
  23. http://www.entrytime.com/index.asp?GoTo=fetch&afid=4&pt=article&itemid=2594&typeid=1 Pretty much confirms what Pornstar said, but with some interesting ramifications.
  24. Have just changed my blade to a 53 for this exact reason. Tried to change my 121 for an 11 at the back on JB's advice but couldn't get the derailleur to track so I changed it back. The 53 has made a difference though, albeit not quite as much as I had hoped
