After about 6 years of use, the engraving on my tag is fading badly. Great product. My kiddies iceid's are strapped to the top of their helmets. ( I learned this after too many "lost and founds") I will be ordering a new one soon

Please help oh enlightened Hubbers: I have an old Alpina with a horrible cup and cone type BB. I am not sure if it is an Italian or english thread, but I can find that out easy enough. The question is: What do I need to convert it to a "more modern crank" In other words, am i limited to buying a n older type crank or could I buy a new (eg) shimano crank and get adapters?
