  1. Yup all work related. I work in a bike shop. This is walking between counter, workshop, to clients, to back to collect bikes etc. I save petrol by commuting to work from Somerset West to Stellenbosch. This would also be the longest time during the day I am seated, while on the bike! We dont have any chairs in the shop, so we are saving the forest also!
  2. Doesnt really make a big difference, I still have to charge my phone every night!
  3. I have always had a suspicion that I do quite a bit of walking during the day at work. Just never knew how much until I decided to put it to the test for a week using the app on my smatphone. This is during work hours ONLY, started the app at 8am and stopped it at 17:30! Holly crap I walk a lot!!! Pretty much averages out to 10km per day ... excluding walking to gym, walking at home before and after work!
  4. The amount of reports coming in for this particular spot within the last two months are just insane!! When are we goning to stand together and sort this crap out?
  5. The Parktool kit comes with a wallmount holder (that is an actual photo of my own I posted earlier). Allen keys I always keep within reach ... not stored away anywhere
  6. ...
  7. Handy but not as hand friendly as the Parktool allen key set. They also have the ball ends to allow you to work at otherwise difficult angles. You have way more leverage with that handle and you dont feel manhandled when finished working with them!
  8. And if you want proper tools, I love my blue tools the most!
  9. If you have absolutely no tools, then those might work. If you already have some tools you are going to get double of what you already have. Tools in that price bracket is normally a bunch of allen keys, chain whip and cassette remover. You will need cable cutters, bb remover and a couple of other tools that is better to buy separate as and when you need them for that specific job. Thats the way I built up my workshop!
  10. Yea old news! Let the dead cows lie...
  11. Cool, handfuls of the others also available!
  12. Did you win Flowta? I still have plenty!
  13. All the roadies with good seadings and no singletrack skills will be in A in front of you. Better chillax now already!
  14. Too small for someone at 1,95. Giant's XL is a 22" ... where Merida's XL is a 23" with a longer toptube, which might be better suited, again depending on more than just the OP's length. Santa Cruz has the Tallboy 2 in XXL though!
  15. Road bike ... ok Then you need to look at top tube length. Measured from center of steerer tube to center of seat tube ... based on you height alone (more info is required to be more accurate) I would guess a 62cm top tube. Some manufacturers do the sizing a bit differently and the actually measure the seat tube (center of bb to center of top tube). With all the sloping stylish geometries these days, that measurement means jack all really. Pinarello, Bianchi, Cannondale ... the list goes on, all have 62cm bikes. So start looking at top tube lengths and compare the sizing between the brands you fancy!
  16. That must have been a sight! The Nabraska is a 26er and a Large would have been a 19" I am 1.87m and rode a XL (21.5") Mercury 26 and I was all over that circus bike, it was just not big enough. Please post a pic with you on the bike ... either here on in the Friday Funnies thread.
  17. I still have 2 for you. Work in Stellenbosch ... Can post them via snail mail?
  18. Yup, sometimes there is one corrupt file that causes havoc. Delete regularly and uploading is faster on all other sites and programmes.
  19. How many di you want? And where are you? PM me
  20. With the way you were punishing your Titanium SingleSpeed on the R44 the other, I am not surprised you dropped those flies left, right and center. I am also a firm believer in ... Know your limits but know your enemy's better! Yes the elite guys have different tactics and being able to wheelsuck through a storm is vital ... because their aim is to actually WIN the race. The rest of us mere mortals are surely riding to finish as fast as we possibly can. The more wheelsuckers that contribute, the quicker this would happen. No? NEWSFLASH: If the number on my back are two or three letters down the alphabet from yours, no matter what you try in that last 50 meters, sprint, spoeg or plak, especially since you were nowhere to be seen in the last 30km while we were pulling you along at leisure ... I already rode 2 or 3min into you and I am still beating your wheelsucking ass. In the end, I see the wheelsuckers as motivation. Motivation to ride harder because guess who is getting the better workout, the guy in front or the guy in the pack? Regards A slow but steady mid-pack rider that learned a long time ago, there is always someone faster out there!
  21. Yup, especially in that wind. Not that easy to drop the wheel suckers in a headwind ... a bit easier in a crosswind when you can gutter. But still easier to wheelsuck than hand out the pain!
  22. Check that crosswind is so hard ... my front deep section is flexing!!
  23. There are much cooler stuff you can do with your fancy toy, I have used mine to record my HR ave, HR max and lets call it HR peak during ... all sorts of aerobic excersise. Nevermind! There are much cooler stuff it can do! Instead of you following a line on the little screen, you can have your family follow you and your every move using the live tracking via your smartphone! Smart hey?
  24. Just ride your routes and stop playing around with mapmyride ... as I used to keep telling TinyK. The Garmin (whichever one) will all record your ride much more accurately than you can draw on a map. After your ride, export and upload to any site and make the route available to whoever. I still dont get why you would want to stare at a little screen, trying to see where you must go, instead of just riding your bike, having fun while exploring and keeping your eyes on the road so you can keep your wheels out of the ditches?
  25. Aaaah! Sorry misunderstood you there for a second, thinking that you should have been on Jerry Springer if you, your brother and your dad were the four I described before!
