  1. After all this analysis of lights, I think the guy who asked the question is probably going to go for a loud exhaust anyway.

  9. where is it?
  10. Any old excuse for a loud pipe, eh? Typical biker hooligan.
  11. I think spots are the answer. Granted, they piss people off but rather that than they don't see you, although I think they do in fact see you but don't quite register a bike as being a road presence. That's my theory, anyway. I think that putting on a loud exhaust will not only piss off other folks who may not even be driving, but also, once they hear you, you will already be past (or have hit) them. It may work in slow traffic driving in the same direction as you but what about oncoming traffic which may be tempted to turn in front of you? Mind you, got to say, even spots don't deter some idiots/selfish drivers. I had a guy in a Discovery turn right in front of me when I was about 10m away. Some drivers just don't care...
  12. How the heck did you do it?
  13. Well, The Bike Show certainly seem to be pushing his business..
  14. I still sometimes see one of the directors at the time swanning around Cape Town . Grrrrr.
  15. Ja that's not good. It happened to a friend of mine in the UK who signed up at Health and Racquet Club and paid a deposit and membership fee and 3 days later they closed down. Not happy..
  16. Went for a ride around Swartland to look for flowers. On the way back, the best I saw were in Paarden Eiland!
  17. To Koeberg where some wildlife came out with the flowers..
  18. Did he stop to take responsibility and give you his insurance details ?
  19. True. I passed a guy on Boyes drive who has effectively dammed one of the mountain streams and is filling 50l Bottles with water which he then loads onto a bakkie which his driver then takes away for sale. No water makes it down past him.
  20. Gee. Do you get a loaner while it's off the road?
  21. Ouch. Doesn't look that serious but I suppose it all adds up. Insured?
  22. Perhaps it will mean a drop in price for used 1200s? Maybe some deals going. Calling Hairy....
  23. Lexx, you've raised the bar here. I can see this becoming a photo thread. My offering is a ride with my mate along Clarence drive and up the bit to Steenbras .
  24. Millers point and Boyes Drive
  25. Ja but how long did you spend there? And were there any taxis around to stress test?
