  1. Thank you, I have. Unfortunately I don't have a smaller clamp but managed to use a 31.6 with shim in the interim.
  2. Help, I have a VGC (8/10) DA 7410 braze-on front derailleur and need a similar condition 28.6mm clamp-on. Anyone able to assist with swap. I could also swap for NOS 600 (6401) series clamp-on FD.
  3. The cheapest tubby options are about R600 each plus another +-R60 to R100 for glue. Getting period look tubby will set you back at least R1,500 each! New rims +- R500 each and another R1,000 to have built up. Your spoke count will also determine whether you can actually find rims. 36 hole rims are scarce! Most of us buy older clincher wheels when we restore our bikes. Contact me as I may have a clincher wheel set to swap or sell you.
  4. Two immediate problems. They are too long and are not white.
  5. Pantograph for Coppi by manufacturer?
  6. Looking at the seat lug and the way the seat stays are joined it may be a Daccordi? I am no expert though.
  7. Climate, I love everything about your bike. It shows excellent taste from the frame angles which are special, DA groupo, Corsa tyres (big thumbs up), Rolls of course, Alter stem shows originality. Only thing out of line is the seatpin you need a nice titanium seatpin. Best bike I have seen for months.
  8. There is no Master unless we see the pics!
  9. Funnily enough, I am looking for a 26.8 for an old MTB sorta rebuild...and coming up short for now too! Oh, well, the fun is in the search, right?! Will keep my eyes open for both of us! As promised, here is some pics of the Kalloy 26.8 seatpost I have. Its a heat treated 4 - 1 - 0. 36cm from bottom to mid seat rails. 10cm max insert.
  10. My Kalloy is in great condition. Will post pic.
  11. Nice build there so far Tumbleweed! Where did you go ride, HNP? Love to have joined you. Yep, 26.8's are evading me. Need two ATM. Building a small Zini for the missus for Eroica and only found a long 300mm plus black Kalloy. May be from an old MTB? Mmh, saddle?
  12. Heyyou, I will take the Carlton if you agree a swop and then find you something nice?
  13. The best online retailer for Colnago is http://www.maestro-uk.com Contact Kamaalo on the hub, he told me that someone was in the process of opening a Colnago outlet in CT.
  14. I just picked up a pair of these for the missus and I for the Eroica. Nice gloves. Seller has a few left so hurry if you looking to get some. https://www.bikehub.co.za/classifieds/178594-protective-gear/
  15. Thank you Trispoke, I wish the bikes were mine but unfortunately not. The owner is selling the Giant ONCE frame if anyone is looking for a nice retro build. See the link https://www.bikehub.co.za/classifieds/177908-road-frames-forks/ for details.
  16. I need a 26.8mm Campagnolo seat pin (seat post) if anyone has one lying about?
  17. Not according to the missus!
  18. Always nice to have pista (track) specific pedals on track bike. They differ from strada (road) pedals as they don't have an outer cage and increase the lean angle of pista bikes on the track banking. Some pics......
  19. Thank you, haven't had the greatest luck winning the past few auctions. Rather hoping for a find locally
  20. One of my babies. I changed the Bora One's as I couldn't get used to the carbon deep section road noise (see post # 710).
  21. Very nice Eppie. I too bought an old cast iron truing stand but need to renovate it as a few bits were modified over the years. I also picked up a bike stand which is so heavy that no matter the force used on the bike, the stand doesn't move. The chap I got them from said his grandfather had brought them into the country in the early 1900's!
  22. That is one super restoration and very rare worldwide. Well done Rocket ship! I look forward to seeing the bike in the steel
  23. I love the early 600 and DA Shimano groupsets. I have some factory drilled 600 levers which are pure works of art and a DA ax aero crank with the bearings located within the crank arms. I also own a DA 10mm gauge track crank which I am battling to find local rear sprockets. Lovely stuff. This was a great Shimano era which almost unseated Campy at the time.
  24. Check the measurements of the pivot bolts of the FD as they may be similar to other 600 series FD's. It may be possible to swap out the clamp for a braze-on head piece. Good find, those brake callipers deserve more pictures being posted to show us all what great pieces of art Shimano produced so briefly. So says a total Campagnolo fan!
