Original Reynolds tubing decals are available from a company in the UK, called Lloyd something or other. Google is your friend. A couple of guys are doing decals locally including Tyrone on the hub. Tyrone should have the templates for the SA built Zini's. Agreed with above posts, please don't cut off rear derailleur hangers, grind off cable housing guides or downtime shifter mounts. If you will use the bike as a SS or fixie then build it up as such but keep the other bits so you can restore it later if you want.

I agree, mid 90's Super. Colnago was sometimes also branded on the chain stay but not always. Earlier Super's did not have chromed head tube lugs. Nice bike. Try and date from the groupset, especially the BB.

Viner's are such an underrated brand. Here is my Viner Special Professional pista. Its my main track bike and has Record groupset with small flange Record wheels. Very slow, but that the problem with the engine.

There is so much wrong with this bike. For example: it is not a 55cmit doesn't park in my loungeit is goldthe wheels suckthe decals say "Weener" I can go on, and on, and on! Seriously, that is a lovely Viner Sire. Do you want take it to Hector Norris Park tomorrow pm?

You should be fine. Ensure the skewer is pulled tight but don't over tighten. I have found that skewers tend to slip slightly especially in SS and I have replaced the lever skewer with an axle that has two threaded ends and nuts bolt on with Allen key driver. If I recall it was a BBB part +-R80.00

Whilst we have a retro shoe thread going and everyone has the Eroica on their mind, I also have these Look shoes available. They are a size 9.5. They are still in good condition but the coloured leather bits have perished.

Hi Eppie They are a size 44 (UK 9.5). The leather is still supple and has leather insoles. Could do with a nice polish. Factory drilled water and air vents in the leather soles. Very nice shoes, wished they were my size. Send me a PM if you want them.

Any idea when the Eroica SA site will be opening their bookings? I already have accommodation booked in Montagu, thanks to my buddy! I too am going to ride SA framed bike. Alpina SLX for me and Zini for the missus.
